I think it's funny, that remark made me laugh out loud today :D But he was right, and given the earlier reports that the authorities were going to let much less black people return to the city, this remark got right back at them. NO has always been a city with a large group of people of african descent as far as I know, one of the cities where the former slaves settled. Why change that....

agree with your sentiment, but you just don't come out and say something like this. I've actually been a Ray Nagin fan since his epic rant following Hurricane Katrina because it seemed like he was really speaking his mind freely. Seems like he spoke his mind a bit too freely here...

Nice comments on MLK day. I thought MLK legacy meant about the races coming together and respecting each other. Plus, he did say that God was mad at the U.S. for invading Iraq, so that's why we're getting bad hurricanes. I didn't know he was a messenger from God either.
Between Hillary's plantation comment and Nagin's chocolate city, is this what the Democrats do to get attention these days? Use racism on MLK day to further your cause. Pathetic. MLK would be disappointed.
