Re:: fox news
Also biased...Outfoxed criticized Sean Hannity for saying things like "239 days until the election and George Bush retains the presidency" when Alan Combs does the exact same thing for John Kerry. Yes, FoxNews definitely leans to the right, but IMO, they are still the most fair and balanced. Can the same thing be said for CNN or MSNBC, ABC, CBS, or NBC? No...How often do those stations have a Dem. and Rep. on at the same time debating...once in a while? Those stations show one side most of the time. Rupert Murdoch and Michael Moore must be buds, they both like to distort the facts and show half truths.
the diferrence is clear.
i will spare you the details but in a nutshell:
cnn disginguishes between its fact- and opinion-based programs.
fox does nothing of the sort.
Re:: fox news
I love how the general response to calling out Fox News for being a shill for the RNC is to say "Sure, they're biased, but . . ."
CNN, MSNBC and the rest are no where near as biased to the left as Fox News is to the right. In fact, the cons have been screaming so loudly about liberal bias, that it sure seems to me that all of the non-blatantly conservative news outlets are skittish about appearing too liberal. Watching CNN on the day Kerry announced Edwards as his running mate sure belied the idea that it is a shill for the DNC.
THis is an interesting debate between you too!! very well spoken with both, but who will win this debate??

You've got to be kidding -- this is spot on -- I was watching Fox News just the other day, and one of the anchors was offering commentary on something Kerry said while shaking her head in disgust. :roll:
Granted, most of the media has a bit of a natural slant one way or the other, but they make an effort to keep it in check, by and large. Fox News, by contrast, has a clear agenda. As compared to other media outlets like CNN, Fox leans much further down the spectrum from center.
What about talk radio, BTW? Unless you happen to live in one of the few places in America that airs (the rather dull, candidly) AirAmerica, the conservatives pretty much have a stranglehold on the radio, particularly the am dial. I always though it appropriate that those clinging to absurd, religious right-wing ideals would embrace a similarly outdated and antiquated medium like am radio. :WinkNSmi:
i really only like the Savage Nation on the dial.
in regards to foxnews ... there is no way in hell you can tell me CNN is more balanced. no way. they just feed it to you in a way that you can not tell.
i promise.

Well, dude, I think we're at an impasse here.

Really? :unsure: Whew, good thing you pointed that out -- to think that up until now, I've been plodding along, knuckles dragging, being unwittingly spoon-fed liberal propaganda. EUKEKA!!! I CAN SEE!! I CAN SEE!!!
Seriously, that seems to imply that Fox News is openly partisan -- am I reading that right?
I dunno. I do not watch TV. :wink:
friends?
it's all good, bro :D
kick his ass seabez.
asdf invented the TV, he's lying.

Re:: fox news
Heck, in this shitty little country we only have frickin Fox kids, and that sucks bigtime! Unbelieveable how much violence and agression is in those cartoons, some of them are even worse than films rated 16 and older...
I'm waiting now for the kids here to go Frenzy some day when their best friends accidentally hurts them or something, or answer any question with NO. Killing spree in Kindergarten, because in Dragonball Z it's also common to kill someone who's ugly or just happened to look at you in the wrong way or said "no" to you.
A little off topic, but had to spray this somewhere... :mrgreen:
Re:: fox news

LMAO!!! Seriously though, it's my opinion that TV news media is extremely liberal, with the exception of Fox News which leans to the right...they're damn near falling over in fact...but I like the fact that when I watch CNN, ABC, CBS, etc...I get another slant to the story...this helps me make up my own mind and not believe what's being said on any one news channel. And I will say that Fox, unlike other channels, consistently has both libs and cons debating the topic of the day together...I find it interesting how many libs, not all, just can't answer a direct question. Instead they dance around the issue, which is understandable...because after all, how can you defend the fact the Kerry speaks out of both sides of his mouth, especially when much of it is on video and well documented...this election will be interesting...
^^^ would you like to be my friend? :wink:
well said. :D

:Bingo: It's too bad more people don't do this. If we stick to one news/opinion source, or even listening only to media that coincides with our personal ideologies, we become tools of the media rather than the media being a tool that we use to help make intelligent decisions...
^^^ I am firm believer in that. TV is so one sided. Reading is probably my fav with a little night TV for a laugh. esp local news. :lol:
Re:: fox news
I agree with Tanaka's opinion on getting as many sources from different angles and making your own mind up.
For the right wing thinking, I watch Fox news and read the Wall st journal.
For the left wing thinking, I read the NY times and watch CNN or MSNBC.
Local news is for entertainment only.
you think Fox is falling over now, just wait until they start covering the Republican National Convention....:roll:
Re:: fox news
I prefer watching the local news and for national news I usually watch Fox or CNN. I watch MSNBC if it's a Saturday night where they show stuff that's like Court TV.
Ever watch ABC news at 3 in the morning or so? They tend to cut up and have a laugh on there!
