i wont say if this person got elected or not. ill give two facts.

  1. they were an american candidate.
  2. they ran for office in the last 40 years.

"""For four years, we've heard a lot of talk about values. but values spoken without actions are just slogans. values are not just words. they're what we live by. they're about the causes we champion and the people we fight for. and it is time for those who talk about family values to start valuing families.""

dont cheat take a guess. 8)

It sounds Reagan-esque. And if its somebody after Reagan I'm sure they probably jacked it from him

Ross Perot? Kerry hasn't run for office for 40 years, must be some independent guy then. Or that other bloke, the 'Green' guy...what's his name?

Ralph Nader. if he is the one that said this quote you could probably guess what suit he was wearing when he said it. he hasn't bought a new suit in 40 years.

john kerry indeed. finding it funny how many times he uses the ""hotkey bullshit"" words that the republicans use so much. i.e. family, values, champion, action. goes to show that politicians are all the same. there really isnt any substance to this particular section.

after reading the taibbi book, i picked up one that takes a humorous and cynical and satirical look at all the campaign speeches from the last few decades. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME. outside of reagan(due to the times/cold war/commie/berlinwall)

they go to point out how bush overused ""faith"" in his speeches, and john kerry seemed to fear the word. he actually only used it about 2 dozen times in the entire campagn. another thing is, he blasts us with ""I was in vietnam"" only to point out bush didnt go, never stating bush opted for schooling. and never once saying what he did there, giving an opinion on the war and avoiding answering questions about the fake throwing of medals. (i have only read bush and kerry so far and we have enough bush trashers here, i refuse to bandwagon it, but ask in PM'S)
