This doesn't necessarily mean that the NYT intends to blast this guy's kids. They are probably looking to see what kinds of representations Roberts made to the adoption agency to see if they can get a sense of where he stands on various issues.
I recognize that the RNC believes that it is the press' responsibility to do nothing but parrot what the talking heads say without comment or analysis, but this would appear to me to be the forgotten art of "investigative journalism." Assuming they are public records, fair game, IMO.

I can certainly understand. Kids do put a hold on life, and cost a ton of bucks. Limit the life you can as far as fun and travel for quite a while. Cost you not only money but alot of serious headache and heartache.
With all that being said, nothing brings me more joy than my kids at this moment. I would never know that joy if I had never had them.
Dude, find that sweet mate, commit your life to her, have some fun, live a while and see some places, do some things. Then Consider making your life richer by having children. There is truly no other way in this world to experience what God had in mind, and the joy of this life from the highest degree. It is hard, yes, but even greater is the joy they will bring you.
Oh, and by the way, if you Europeans stop having children, as is the direction it seems by the majority, your continent will become dominated by the muslim influence which is growing annually by the fact of childbirth as well as immigration. One muslim family has 2 -5 kids, and they almost all have kids. France is now 20% muslim.

Will do some reading onto the rest of the links later on mate, but that one on declining birth rates I read completely right away. To many Europeans that keep their eyes open (I consider myself among them) that whole article has already been appliccable for many years, and the practical consequences are already showing by our govt. indeed raising the retirement age and fucking around with pension funds. Add to that the fact that the tax burden out here is even higher than in the States, and I kinda foresee a swift collapse of the system here in about 10 - 20 years. My parent are already getting screwed over heavily to give you an example: an uncle of mine just retired at the age of 55, still getting the benefits of the older system. My father was supposed to work until 58 (another 3 years or so from now), but it seems he'll have to work even longer, while he paid just as much levies (??) in pension fundings as my uncle.
Right now the population composition is turning into an upside down pyramid: the amount of retired and older people is pressing heavily (financially) on the smaller basis of youger people that work and thus provide the fundings for al the pension allowances.
About having kids: I am pretty sure i would enjoy raising them, but then I'd first have to find me that mate you mentioned...I've been a bachelor all my life (I'm 25), and I'm wondering if I can ever change my life to actually share it with a woman, and then even kids. It would take some time before it happens ;-), but frankly even my friends have this image of me being the eternal bachelor, travelling the world and coming home with crazy stories to tell, hehehe...if that happens, I hope I can at least be a good uncle for my brother's offspring. T'm pretty sure they'll end up being dada's within the next 5 or 6 years :D
But when I think of kids, I'm actually thinking of not having kids of my own, but maybe adopt a child from maybe Africa or South America, a child that would not have a future otherwise, and give it a future myself. It will be different from actually raising your own blood, I'm sure, but in this world of overpopulation and children dying of malnutrition in some parts of the world I may be able to give at least one human being a future, instead of just adding to it myself without making a difference.
I'm fleeing this country anyway as soon as my studies are done mate...I don't see a future for me out here. Knowing what it's like in other places I couldn't simply sit here and enjoy the riches while doing nothing to help other countries. And maybe it's even smarter to move out of here anyway, with this country on the brink of a social breakdown: I want to be out of here before it hits man. And as that article states: financial security is a premonition(??) for having kids: I want to be sure that, wether I adopt it or 'make' it, I can take care of it in the best possible way. Before that happens, I wouldn't even consider it, seriously...

Great idea on the adoption thoughts. From what I have heard, an adopted kid finds a place in your almost the same as if it were actually your blood. Its a great thing to adopt dude.
Maybe as you spin disk and travel something will turn over for you and you'll find a country where you would want to plant roots and make a home.
I was 35 when I married, so it is possible to adjust, though you have to be open minded to the changes. :)

A very big possibility is me moving to....the States to continue some plans & projects with a few friends of mine there (MercuryWebhost etc.), and it may be a good place to start pushing my musical aspirations too, since I get the feeling the scene is bigger over there than in Trance-infested Holland. I'd hope to combine it with a few months every year in Africa too...

Well getting out of anywhere with too much trance is a good idea. But Holland is a pretty place, I would like to tour your land more one day. It does seem many people like that beat, 5 mins. and I'm ready to move on, except on those occasions some progressive sound is mixed into the trance to mellow and balance it out a bit.
Keep your plans working and you'll succeed, listen to the positive minded people and walk away from those who give you to much negativity about your dreams. :help:
