So the polling #'s that I pay most attention to shows Hillary in the lead still, but Trump is also a lot closer than I expected to be honest. What's the word on the street where you live?

Re: Hillary vs. Trump

I don't live there but the fact that they both still are that close only two months away from election only confirms that the near future is not bright, for america nor the rest of the world... Economically and maybe even more importantly at this point, socially.

If Trump wins, things will get nastier that's for sure.

Re: Hillary vs. Trump

I honestly think a lot of people are starting to wake up and improve themselves right now... I've seen people I never thought would take the time for personal growth to take the time and work on personal stuff. Social change is low, but in most of the country violent crime continues to go down. We are doing away with privately owned prisons as well, and legalizing weed.

I, like usual, remain very optimistic about America.

The broad is a psycho.

Yea, and once Trump gets into office, nukes will be flying... what a wonderful alternative. Too bad Canada is right next door and will deal with the fallout of anything coming our way.

America and the idea of America is fucked if Trump is elected, there will be no going back.

I have said this many times before: Consumerism = Virus. Corporate business owns us and are destroying our planet in the name of our own creation, money, and Trump is the epitome of this.

Re: Hillary vs. Trump

There isn't a worry here anymore, there is only one GOP candidate and that's Trump. Both Cruz and Rubio pretty much negate one another, and they're continued assault on Trump make them look like a pair of spineless jellyfish.

Both Hillary and Trump will have secured the nominations before their parties conventions. And Americans are going to sit back and witness Hillary being elected President. Hillary would have produced a unified America as both Republicans and Democrats vote her into office.

Re: Hillary vs. Trump

Well, I just finished watching the debate and I am so much more amazed that Donald trump got to where he has in this race. He looked and sounded as though he had dementia. Continually repeating himself and continually contradicting himself, sometimes in the same sentence, and pausing before he said names as though he couldn't quite remember who he was talking to. It was painful to watch. Hey, maybe he isn't a liar, maybe he just doesn't remember. :) Do you really need another senile president. ??

Hilary was definitely across all the issues but there are parts I wouldn't be happy with. Still we have worse here at the moment.

After the NBC tape and all the recordings of him on Howard Stern - he's fucking done. Now it's nothing but watch him flail and try to make up excuses for his losing the election.

I think his delusions of winning are gone - as hard as he tries to believe in them.

Seems like that but i wouldn't be so totally sure yet... The world is more socially fucked than ever and things not always turns the way it "should" (with stats) prior the vote.. Stats is another worldwide fucked up thing lately and a good interesting topic..

Brexit.. Everyone was expecting the oposite result.

Peace in Colombia after 52 (!!!) years of war with the guerrilla??? Everyone was expecting a logic "yes" but people voted no.

Europe, Southamerica and why not America in a few days have the same pattern of social changes.. Deep and certaily dangerous changes around the world socially speaking.. And these changes arent good or bad (they are good or bad depending who you ask), just show how people act and feels..

After watching all debates, I don´t like Trump but Hillary does not look much better to be honest... Poor candidates both of them. Probably people will vote against rather than for one of them.. And that´s always bad news.

You watched ALL of the debates ?? What are you , some sort of masochist ?? Seriously I didn't watch the second and the third. That was enough. I have watched Hilary for years and even though I don't like her all that much personally she is extremely qualified to be a very good president. Most of the shit that has been thrown at her has very little basis in truth. It's more about America not being prepared for a women president. Definitely not claiming moral high ground here  We treated our female PM appallingly !!! If Hilary were a man Trump would have been annihilated.
John Oliver did a really good show about Clinton V Trump. It high lighted the fact that Trump IS proved to be awful, while her bad deeds are mainly just allegations . Any issues of hers will be dwarfed by the magnitude of Trumps!!

I give her some kudos for trying to get America a better health system when Bill was President.

Yeah, because the guerrillas would be getting off scott free - no criminal charges, nothing. If you had a family member killed by the guerillas, I'd be skeptical that you'd be okay with a peace offering that allows the killers to walk away without any punishment.

Sure.. not judging the decision at all, just saying that most of statistics (if not all) and even the government took for granted a "yes" before the plebiscite.

Totally understand those who vote for "no" and their reasons... Dont agree, but understand it though. Same thing for those who voted Brexit and it seems that millons and millons of american have reasons to vote for Trump.

To be honest i don't know her work more than you can read or watch on tv thousands of miles away.. she has been in this game for most of her life so probably know one thing or two about american politic  .. even more being wife of other President.. This could be good or bad but is definitely something..

About America not being prepared for a women president, that´s already a pointless argument for me, or at least not important.. The world has plenty of women in the power and in America specifically, the first african american president is about to end 8 years in the oval office..

Even we here have done that  I have lived through the term of a female leader of the country. What she was subjected to brutal, and she is still copping it. Believe me women have a very , very long way to go . Seeing they are half [roughly] the worlds population I think it is important. The world will be a better place when we have equality. :)

That black president defeated a women to run. But that is a whole other issue. :)

The world will be a better place when we have quality... ;) ... Equality in the opportunities will be the natural result.. If you force equality just for the sake of the word there is a big chance to go against quality and that can´t be good.

Agree with you saying women have a long way to go though :) ..

Agree with you saying women have a long way to go though :) ..[/QUOTE] We use the word merit here rather than quality, but they mean the same , both seem to be based on the premise that 1/2 the worlds population does not have the merit or quality needed. Actually one of our politicians did use the term "women of quality." The one that John Oliver mentioned in one of his shows. Quality has to be given a chance. It already well proven equality in opportunities is not a natural outcome. It really has to be worked hard for.

We have women here on both sides of politics that are so much better , some much more intelligent than their current leaders. At one stage our government had one female minister in a cabinet of 23. That is unnatural .

I did say we were bad here in Australia. We are racist as well :(

Do you really believe we couldn't find a women of better quality than this guy??

Re: Hillary vs. Trump

Didi agreed that guy is a Giant Douche but women in Australian politics on both sides haven't exactly covered themselves in glory either. Bishop by 2, Vanstone, Mirabella, Hanson, Cash etc. all to the ideological right of Genghis Khan. On the the other side Gillard, Roxon, Giddings, Palaszczuk etc. all Union Hack Lawyers from privileged backgrounds who couldn't cut it in the private sector who either made or acquiesced to some terrible policy decisions. The best Australian female politician by far beholden to no one, who is intellectually capable and temperamentally suitable is Tanya Plibersek. She will be our next female PM. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Quotas based on any criteria except talent and suitability for the position is never the answer.

#1769124Post 34 of 62

Re: Hillary vs. Trump

I agree with most of that . Particularly the right wing women :) I wholeheartedly agree with Tanya Plibersek !! :D

I disagree with Gillard and Roxon , they definitely had some issues I didn't agree with but nobody is absolutely perfect and Gillard did an amazing job to actually get over 500 bills through with a hung parliament. Just a crying shame that some of her best work has been and is being dismantled. Quotas work not because they are quotas but because they force people to actually look at all the candidates . They have to see the talented , suitable women as well. :)

Tanya for PM !! :D And you are right, the sooner the better. :)

Hillary is on the verge of indictment. Wikileaks, formerly a champion of the left but now their scourge, has exposed her and her team for the rotting underbelly of the political class that they are along with her disdain for the electorate, which is MUCH WORSE than Trump's proclamations. Barry's defense of the indefensible isn't helping matters. He's the worst president of my lifetime and will go down in history as such.

The "A"CA is imploding as premiums skyrocket and choices dwindle, adding fuel to the fire of those demanding repeal.
