Re: Afghanistan
what israle is doing is worse beacuse it is daily it is al,most everyday....they did a study...1 in 3 kids in palestine...1 in 3 have seen thier own father being physically arrested or subdued by israly forces...thats has a profound impact on a childs psyche and its impact should not be underestimated...... im in no way defending the attacks..... but i do believe that if anybody is pushed to take thier own life they are desperate and if there are a fixed and predictable number of people that do it in your own society..that means that its because of your society...because of people

so if this desperation leads them to express their fear and frusteration to the extent that they choose to do such a drastic and damaging thing, has serious implications.....such impilications go beyond reasons of brainwashing and/or religion
Let me ask you:

 1. What percentage of the Palestinian people believe Israel should be destroyed? What percentage of the Arabs as a whole feel this way?

 2. Does the fact that pretty much every Israeli has lost a relative to suicide bombers make a difference in your analysis?

 3. How would you react to suicide bombers in your country? And to take it to its most despicable extreme, how would you feel and react to a suicide bomber feeling justified in blowing themselves up on a school bus full of children?

and for the record, I'm far from defending everything the Israeli army does, some of it does disgust me, but to try and equate arrests and military targeting to walking into a pedestrian mall with a bomb on your body is hypocritical. At the very least, one should recognize that both sides are wrong and most of the problems they have in that country is because of the extreme measures taken by both sides. Trying to defend one side while denouncing the other will only keep this conflict going longer and longer. It's about time both sides came clean and learned to move on.

Re: Afghanistan

but we tried, for years, and while they were talking. they kept bombing. and still today, they openly refuse to talk for peace. so, if tomorrow, i put you in charge is isreal, what is your plan to a. keep you citizens safe, and B. attempt to talk to hamas for peace when hamas wont even recognize your right to exist. again, ill let have a go.

Re: Afghanistan

ok, maladay, ill give you a hypothetical.

i, sean, for years, have picked on you and beat the piss out of you with the help of my gang. i have put you in the hospital with broken bones after the fights, yet, i have some form of protection that has kept me out of jail. it is blatently clear that i will beat you everytime i see you. how in the world are you going to talk to me? we live next door, how do you protect yourself on a daily basis from me and my gang? how do you apporach me to talk it out, when i refuse to stop and seeth to beat you?

Re: Afghanistan
look at the history books, the jews and christians were happily living together until the muslim warlords killed them and forced them out from roughly 700 AD to 1100 AD. they deserve every right to fight for those lands again. they lost them to violence, they can and should fight back for thier historical claims to the lands that all 3 major religions stem from
Um, sorry to inform you there, but the Jews and Christians had not always lived in peace...see Pogroms, Crusades, Spanish Inquisition (when the Jews went to Turkey of all places), European expulsion of Jews (12th through 15th century AD) and so on....

Re: Afghanistan

im not denying what the roman church did to the jews during the crusades, but for the most part, jews played a great role in european culture throughout history and the sad expulsion and destrsution of the mainly jewish settlements in the mediterranean were far more isolated than we think. the main jewish sites destroyed during the early part of this millenia were focused around the mlitary paths the crusades took. (north italy, germany, swiss, and westward) the spanish inquisistion was a hijacking of a religion that should never have happened. based on fear and forced by a king and queen who controlled the pope. considering the time period, when the church and royalty ruled, it was more of a control issue of power than a church fueled hate war. again not defending, just trying to understand the situation.
