Yea, let's pretend the advent of the web didn't create a job market. What an ass helmet. When can we see his college records again along with the unsealing of his "honorary" degree awarded by Harvard? More like affirmative action degree.

Re: Blame Game Continues: The Internet Is At Fault For Job Losses

Even so, that increased demand on other services in info technology, manufacturing (in Asia primarily, yes, but that is no fault of the Internet) and shipping also created an influx of jobs, so it's questionable what the net result is. The Internet was booming in 2007 and prior as well, when unemployment was nowhere near the factor it is today. The guy is not big on taking much responsibility for anything, but plays a good blame game.

His point earlier in the year about ATMs taking the work away from tellers was also off the mark, since there are far more tellers now than there were even 20 years ago. To say nothing of the work that is generated by the manufacturing, programming and maintenance of ATMs.

Intellectual zero.

Orly, I GUESS THE INTERNET DIDN'T EXIST BEFORE 2008 THEN. OH THE HUMANITY. YOU HAVE NOTHING.

Re: Blame Game Continues: The Internet Is At Fault For Job Losses

Oh I get it. You're trying to say, that from a 1 minute clip on Obama stating that factory jobs which can be replaced by robots and technology and the like, is him trying to write off any responsibly his administration has in fixing the US debt crisis.

I get it.

I also have your jump to conclusions mat right here:
The Internet has replaced factory jobs what?
what he should of said is that factory jobs are being taken over by computer technology which was already happening long before 2008 but the internet has taken away what little jobs were left

the only growth rate industry has been warehouse and also delivery jobs since then
what he should of said is that factory jobs are being taken over by computer technology which was already happening long before 2008 but the internet has taken away what little jobs were left

the only growth rate industry has been warehouse and also delivery jobs since then
Well, the factory jobs have simply shifted to another part of the globe, but, again, this is not a new development. "Free" trade agreements are a big reason for that...something on which both corrupt parties have signed onto. The second highest corporate tax rate (behind Japan) has also contributed to the bleeding. The mortgage crisis and ensuing command and control management since has done nothing to remedy the underlying problems. The INTERNET is one of the last things to blame for what came to culmination in 2008 and the effects of which will long stay with us thanks to continued can-kicking.

So, again, I don't know what you're defending here. If Palin had made a statement like this, I am pretty sure you'd be lambasting her for it. ;-) Would prefer her 100 times over what we have now, but even that isn't saying much.
