Happy Birthday [ms],

Another 12 months have gone by and ms continues to trudge on. With MCast still going strong and picklemonkey now laying out an entirely new and software based progression of the site, which while not appreciated enough, has NOT gone unnoticed and is definitely bringing a new face and features to the site. Thanks Adam, I for one really love what you're doing and the vision you hold. :RockOn:

[ms] continues on no matter the ups and downs we have faced. We have faced financial challenges, changing and increasingly busier work schedules for management, wider array of people and mindsets mingle within the "usual bunch", agree/disagree/fight and troll out threads just to keep the bickering going. But we all come back fro more of the same, which is what unites us efriends on here.

We also have had new team members join us and the older folks come back to re-unite, to enjoy the good times, an abundance of music and parties and hopefully many more in the years ahead. For all that it's been worth over the last 9 years, I thank everyone on here for being a part of it in the past, and for unreservedly being a part of our coming future.

MS is a special place because of it's members and their appreciation for listening to and creating music. I am honored to know each of you who contribute to MS from the moderators, who are truly a unique and wonderful class of individuals with many talents, to the members who bring their own distinctive personalities to the board. I can't say I expected MS to make me a better human, but it has, and for that I am thankful.

Happy birthday to us! Today isn't just the birthday of a website or domain name--instead, today we celebrate the ninth anniversary of a constantly growing community. Our admins and moderators donating their time into keeping this place as fresh as possible for their fellow peers. Without each of the 7,609 logged moderator actions that have been performed since our last birthday, this site would have quickly become too stale, outdated, or frustrating to justify coming returning day after day. Thank you Tom, Kamal, Jenks, Gatz, [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=1177"]ribbario[/url], [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=1509"]FM[/url], simonr, kassios, and Huggie for everything you all have done here to keep this place what it is. :)

We also have dedicated members who are leading the way with the site's new DJ Database direction. Without each of these members investing many hours into the foundation of our site's future, we wouldn't have anything to set us apart from the rest. Their efforts have truly turned us into a music resource, instead of a place for music enthusiasts. Many, many thanks to our donors-extraordinaires: sbando, Huggie, [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=1177"]Ribbario[/url], GarryX, and Gatz! I know this post totally falls short in expressing the thanks that and justice that each you deserve, but I really mean it. Without you, 75% of our registered artists wouldn't exist, and the path ahead of us would be a very different road. :)

Thank you to everyone else who has stuck around over the years to help keep this place growing. We've had some tough times over the years... I can think of many times in the past where Kamal threatened banning me for being a dick to him :lol: (he may have, or if not definitely should have :lol:) At the end of the day we all seem to make up and continue as normal because it's an awesome place with awesome people.
