I think he's the most 'realistic' character and grounds the series. Everyone else is just slightly cliched IMO with the exception of [FONT=arial]Daenerys Targaryen (though she also plays up to the 'power to the women' stereotype).[/FONT]

Very meh. Not being a prude but it seems all the show does is talk and fuck; if the plot proceeds like that I wonder how many more seasons it'll last (despite just being renewed for a 3rd).

Yeah the nudity does seem a bit out of place, they seem to have to have it somewhere each episode and it doesn't seem to fit much of the time.

The sex scenes tend to include dialogue so I suppose that's the excuse for their inclusion.

The latest episode with Renly and Margaery and their consummation scene, the little 'foreplay', was it really necessary? Does a queen debase herself with a lame 'I can't decide if I look better in the gown or out of?' and makes a grab for the royal jewels? The cliche is laughable, I cannot imagine Martin writing it like that in the book.

For all the bitching the internet snobs do about how the show doesn't follow the book I kinda like it. It's so well done that I tend to completely ignore the parts the show does differently - since I've read the books I know where [I]they[/I] go but at the same time I'm really interested to see where the show goes too.
