A very interesting and different film...the main character is a car tire that goes around blowing ppl up with its psychic powers...quite different from the rest. i thought it was worth a watch ... it kinda questions all the pre supposed set ups always present in Hollywood films.

Re: Rubber (2010)

So this is worth checking out at least? I thought it looked good for an off the wall flick, but I hope it isn't totally so badly implemented that I want 2 hours of my life back when all is said and done.

Re: Rubber (2010)

I'm going to see it tomorrow - from what one of my friends told me it's one of those films that gain notoriety for the idea being so strange than it actually being anything approaching normal. Think of the Troma films in their earlier days - weird ideas that get thrown up onscreen.

I would agree with that...

Re: Rubber (2010)

Saw it this morning - it's a movie trying very hard to get itself a cult following just based on the premise. Think Birdemic or Attack of the Killer Tomatoes - the premise is really thin, and they're trying to build a movie around it with pretty limited resources. Although it isn't quite as amateurishly cute as Birdemic is (it's actually kind of professional looking), it isn't quite the Z movie magic that Attack of the Killer Tomatoes was.
