Life In A Day is a historic global experiment to create the world's largest user-generated feature film: a documentary, shot in a single day, by you. On July 24, you have 24 hours to capture a glimpse of your life on camera. The most compelling and distinctive footage will be edited into an experimental documentary film, executive produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Kevin Macdonald.

I think it's supposed to come out on DVD via national geographic and in theaters on July 24th 2011... according to what they said last night.

Also, since the footage took place during peoples lives in 198 countries on July 24th 2010, Love Parade was the one major news even that occurred that day, so footage of the deaths, and overcrowding is included.

Trust me folks, this film is really something.

I'm waiting for my DVD copy to be forwarded to me. I've heard some great buzz from Sundance for this and it's definitely on my list of things to watch.

Have I mentioned how good it was yet? Can't wait to watch it again, although there was something really special about streaming it live with the folks at Sundance via youtube. Do you know any more about plans for it's distribution?

Not much. If National Geographic is handling the distribution rights, it should make it to release pretty shortly.

I tried to give everyone here the heads up before it aired, unfortunately I found out about it 1 hour before. It was streamed in HD live via youtube via the Sundance Film Festival.

haha, I didn't see your post here ... anyway, you can see it in theaters because it is airing in LA in several spots. Unlike here where it's only airing in Gainsville (lame).
