Re: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
I hope they make the other 2 films in the trilogy
Re: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

not half as good as the book but a sterling effort none the less ;)
Re: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Re: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
I'm just starting to read the books, so far the first one is really, really good, and the movie seems to have done the book justice. The final film of the trilogy is really dry (basically a very long courtroom scene that really breaks up and kills the momentum of the first two films), and I hope the book isn't as dull as I've been told.
They're working on a english language remake w/ Daniel Craig as the lead male and David Fincher directing. Unless they try to make this in claymation, it looks like a slam dunk of a film.

I don't know why they need a English language remake. You can watch the original film in English on the DVD. When I set the DVD to English I was expecting the dubbing to be like them old Bruce Lee films but you hardly notice it. I reckon they should do more movies like this. Over Dubbing has come a long way since them kung fu films.
Re: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
Fantastic film! I dl'd the other two films last night. Plan to watch this weekend, looking forward to it.
Re: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
I can't say I enjoyed the second film half as much. It seemed to focus too much on Lisbeth Salander. Though saying that I had constant interruptions while trying to watch it. Maybe I should watch it again.
Re: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
I watched the first one last night and i really enjoyed it, to be honest it exceeded my expectations...Really nice story line a bit slow in the begining but the build up was really good. Too bad the 2nd and 3rd are not as good , would prefer to watch the original audio and not the dubbed version though!!

I'm usually not very pro-remake when it comes to foreign films that have already done a fine job telling the story on their own, but considering that David Fincher made one of the best movies I saw in 2010 (The Social Network) and has yet to make a movie that isn't anything less than very compelling (and that includes what some would consider inferior efforts like Alien 3 and Panic Room), I'm willing to give this remake the benefit of the doubt. Also, I was really surprised at how good the remake Let Me In was, even though there really wasn't a need for a remake and the original was only about 3 years old.
Re: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
wow, wow...yes, it's so great. Hope the last one will be out soon.
Re: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
I have seen the first 2. Thought the first was much better than the second. The stay fairly close to the books. Check out the books before the movies as they are a great read. Must check out the third movie.
