A really well made movie. Its dark....I mean really dark on an ethical level, a moral level.....and more importantly, a personal level. The "purchase" of organs to justify a means to an end, amidst a rich paying clientele in America and a surprising source in Mexico. It's borderline disturbing to an end it made me judge and relate to the man in the lead role, a person of the legal justice system in the US, and a person who would try to do everything for his loved one, and in the end, [SPOILER]would not sacrifice the very important, in the name of being just[/SPOILER].
I've obfuscated a bit of this review so as not to muddle the climax for those who would watch it. But shit it is so worth a first watch. Buzzed or not, it's got a solid [B]7.5/10[/B] on it. Unless highsteppa drops the katana on this review. But I related to the lead actor's actions and decisions in a way I didn't think I would have........as a father in the beginning (even though I'm not a father yet), but more importantly, morally. I hope to God this isn't loosely based on a true fact/event by far.
