All 3 of the Lisbeth Salander movies are really good and worth checking out. Inception coming out this weekend for sure is going to rock. I Am Love with Tilda Swinton and A Solitary Man with Michael Douglas look good also.

Keen to see last airbender - watched the whole animated series with my daughter and really enjoyed it

^the movie from m night has gotten really terrible reviews across the board :( super cheezy stiff dialogue and if you go see the "3d", it is supposed to be terrible as it was just a half ass 2d to 3d conversion in post production and i guess looks very bad. i'd avoid it...

Highsteppa, what were your thoughts on Kaufman's recent film: "Synecdoche, New York?"

Unfortunately, the movie doesn't follow the cartoon very well. The animated series was by far better, but regardless of the horrible reviews I was still a fan of the movie.

I really, really like Charlie Kaufman (the guy who wrote it and others like Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Adaptation), but this is a puzzler of a film. I've watched it twice and I'm not entirely sure what the overall message is, or even if there is a message that they're trying to give. I've enjoyed it, but I can't really say exactly why, other than I like the twisting logic, the really great performance from Phillip Seymore Hoffman and the vision the movie has, but it's one of those movies that I'm going to have to keep watching over and over again to get more out of it.

It's a really divisive movie - some people absolutely rave about it saying it's one of the best movies they've seen, others dislike it because they feel it's opaque and not really saying anything clearly. I'm not really in the first camp, but I think there's something really good about it and a bigger message that a viewer will need to decipher on their own.

Ok so this movie really did it for me. I watched it quite randomly not knowing what the movie was about and it was brilliant.

Now this is the kinda book I would love to read.
