Word is that it's EVEN funnier than Meet the Parents, if it's half as funny as Dodgeball then im looking forward to it...

But.....When's it out in UK?

as much of a De Niro fan as i am, i really dont care to watch this movie. and for me, ben stiller is about as funny as a paved road. :NotMe:

yeah this movie was hella funny, i'd say it was about equal to the first one

i didn't realize barbara streisand was such a good actress

Hardly funny at all imo. It's blatantly obvious after watching this movie that it was only created to make a boatload of cash. The jokes are pointless and the story sucks. Don't waste your time.

Yeah it was somewhat of a letdown. I liked dustin hoffmans character and I thought they destroyed deniros. Too many attempts at playing off jokes from the first one, which I thought was brilliant. Hardly as clever and the awkward moments were just too forced and over the top. Don't think I wasted my money but I wasn't impressed.

yeah, kinda figured this was hit or miss. first one was histerical(especially stoned) but this one could be too firced if they tried to recreate the original.
but this one could be too firced if they tried to recreate the original.
Exactly what they did...unsuccessfully.

i had no idea that babs was such a good actress also.

i think they did a quality job on the movie, especially since it's a sequel. not too many directors and producers have the ability to do so.

Re: Meet the Fockers

horrible, 1/5

Typical sequal, let's just rehash all the jokes from the first movie

The Fockers (Hoffman, Steisand) were actually likeable people, which was the only reason I was able to get through the whole movie, otherwise I was very tempted to switch it off several times.

The stuff with the kid (Little Jack?) SO LAME! I think I cracked a smile once or twice throughout. And I consider Meet the Parents to be a classic.

I'm very disapointed, but relieved I waited till it came on HBO. If I made the mistake to seeing this in the theater, it would have warded me off from seeing movies for a very long time.

Re: Meet the Fockers

I finally saw this the other day and to be honest I didn't find it all that funny. I thought the first one was much funnier.

I find that a lot of sequals are worse then the first....the only series I think that did the sequals well was American Pie...although the 3rd in the series was a little over the top at times

First one was better and this one is ok if you're absolutely bored.
