What an unbelievably well made movie. Seeing this movie leaves me wondering why Hurt Locker had so much undeserved importance. An introduction into the Iraqi culture, how innocent people are dying, what our marines are going through mentally, and the challenges of war, how Iraqi Sheikhs with agendas are using some of the reality on the ground sprinkled with misinformation and video cameras to spread propaganda and make insurgents out of average Iraqis.

It covers so many aspects of the war into such an incredibly well edited 90 minute movie, words fail me, with which to describe it. It is in some parts, rather disturbing and emotional because of the killings of innocent people. I'm amazed this movie didn't win any awards or any recognition.

I rate it the highest I have seen of any movie to date - a 9/10

It left me truly speechless and emotional as it ended.

Re: Battle for Haditha

I have heard good things about this, I need to watch this for sure. It sounds really good. I haven't seen this one either but Restrepo is supposed to be very good also, about Afghanistan.

Re: Inception

like I said in my review, I'm amazed it didn't get as much recognition as it deserves. I just googled it and found this on wikiepedia
Battle for Haditha was presented at the Toronto Film Festival on 11 September 2007.[4] Director Nick Broomfield won the Silver Shell award for Best Director at the San Sebastian Film Festival on 29 September 2007.[5] It was also presented at the London Film Festival on 30 October 2007.[6]
Re: Battle for Haditha

i have just watched it. it really is an intense movie, i liked it too. nevertheless i find it difficult to identify with the characters. i still kept quite an emotional distance to the actions, even though this event happened. surprised me a little bit.

Re: Battle for Haditha

Watched it this morning - one of the best Iraq movies i have seen. So good to get the other perspective as seen by the families living by the bomb. shocking story and very sad. Good recommend Kamal
