Re: The Human Centipede
Gross.
Re: The Human Centipede
I wanna see it!
Re: The Human Centipede
looks actually not bad. the reviews on imdb arent great though. i like ifc films alot though so that does hold some merit. i hate 99% of any and all horror films now days as they are all torture porn and BS like that which i really thing is disgusting. movies like Hostel and people getting killed in the worst way possible are not really worth my time and are fucked up. But I can't say a whole lot about this as I have a few Takashi Miike and Park Chan Wook films on queue to watch just because they have been so celebrated.
Re: The Human Centipede
just came back from watching this .. the first 10mins suffers from really bad acting of not even B-Grade horror standards but C-Grade horror. but as the movie progresses it actually got much better.
the movie had quite a few WTF moments and the German actor that acted as the doctor is actually quite convincing plus he just looks exactly like how a psycho doctor you would expect to look like in this setting. i actually thought that his performance is comparable to the Jew Hunter in Inglorious Bastards.
and i thought that the make up department did an absolutely wonderful job as most of the gore looked absolutely realistic.
definitely not for those with weak constitution but an interesting movie nonetheless
Re: The Human Centipede
^you think the doctors performance was Oscar worthy?
Re: The Human Centipede
i wouldn't say its Oscar worthy since the movie is more like a B-grade horror but i felt that he was very convincing in the role like how that Jew Hunter was. he was a little over the top in some scenes but it was handled really well.
as ridiculous as the plot was to a certain extent, it somehow felt real like whatever happened in the movie could some how actually happen somewhere in Germany where the movie was set or in the remote parts of Europe. The gore/violence wasn't really overdone like how the usual torture porn movies were
Re: The Human Centipede
apparently this is only the start of a trilogy :shock::shock:
