it's a horribly depressing movie, and it really fucks with you. i had this lingering sensation of paranoia for a couple hours after i got home.
since christian bale's character hasn't slept in a year, you stop becoming certain of whether or not ANYTHING in the movie is really happening or not. and that carried over to my perception for a while.
the ending was a little bit of a let down for me, but it didn't detract much from the power of the film.
