The previews look a bit cheesey but I'll check out the first episode anyway. Especially, since I never missed any of the original mini-series when I was a kid.

Thought it was pretty good. Not "must see TV," and I'm not sure it will make it into the regular rotation or not, but it was pretty good.

Thought it was alright except the set up feels formulaic. First episode showing all the characters, their lives, etc. Typical different people crossing paths and ultimately banding together.

The cell's meeting was weird. The father showing up and when the question of proof was asked, he conveniently stepped in with those photos ... you'd think he would've delivered them to whoever's in charge since that was tasked to him by the dying dude. Was also kinda convenient for the dude to die in the church.

And Erica kinda took it all on board quite calmly and decided they have to form a resistance.

Did like the idea that the Visitors have been amongst us for a while, I don't think that was in the original series. Would've been better if they delved more into that, like maybe V masquerading as Nazis, etc.

Thought she was great in Firefly, looks quite different with short hair. I'll will check this out.

Yeh, it's a basic formula but also a easy one for people to follow.

Didn't the dying guy tell the priest to deliver the proof to a certain address? That's where the meeting was held if I'm not mistaken. That probe was bad-ass, though!

Definitely! Hopefully, they'll get more into that as the season develops. I thought some of the special effects were cheesey. Also, they're using rocket propulsion for their Disney looking shuttles & then right after that they mention that antigravity technology is "essential for space travel." Full-on cotradictory, IMO. Oh did you see when they were watching that holographic TV on their spaceship? Then Anna turns it off with that bulky universal remote.:lol:

Yeah glad I wasn't the only one who noticed the shuttle, I just thought the design with the angled thrusters were lame and physically impossible to create lift off.

My skepticism around the priest in the plot was that he was given instruction to deliver the bloody envelope to the meeting, so you'd think when he got there he looked for the person in charge, assuming that envelope was important. Instead of conveniently assuming what he held in his hands were proof that V were amongst us? He might've opened up and seen the photographs, but it's still a leap for him to assume those are pictures of V for someone who was just informed of their existence?

Ahhh...I gotcha now! Yeh, totally agree! I would have opened the envelope just out of curiosity at least. If Erica wasn't investigating that 'creepy' guy, there would have been no way to make that connection either.

I agree with everyone's reserved reactions on the opening episode. But episode 2 and 3 have both been good and I'm hoping this means the series only gets better.
