Re: FlashForward

Yeah saw ep 1. Will follow for a few episodes to see how it developes.

Re:

I'm hoping it won't 'cheese out' after the first couple of episodes like some shows of the past.

Re: FlashForward

Re: FlashForward

just started watching this last night, am now caught up. Am a big fan so far, I just wonder how far they can take it. Will it be like Heroes, where after they reach the critical date that is the focus of the show, the show loses direction? Hope not, as I'm really enjoying it...

Re: FlashForward

Like the central premise, and it's very watchable, but sweet baby Wogan, there is some awful dialogue along the way!

Hope they get that ironed out before it becomes too irritating and overpowers what looks like a good show.

Re: FlashForward

Stopped following it.

Re: FlashForward

What I don't get is the flash forward would be the most anticipated event in human history, why are most of the people doing menial tasks like the women in the flower shop arguing with a customer or the bloke taking a shit? surely everyone would be counting down to the event.

#1295335Post 9 of 34

Re: FlashForward

^^now that's a fine point right there -- hadn't thought about that, but you're exactly right...

What do you mean? The first flash forward was unanticipated? Has there been more flash forward in the show? I stopped following.

When they flash forward the see what they are doing in the future. They have established the time and date of the future event. Why would anyone be carrying out menial tasks on their own when the actual event happens?

Re: FlashForward

Maybe because if they didn't go on with their lives, things wouldn't happen as forseen?

Re: FlashForward

I thought there were like a billion people in times square? Would be a pretty lame show if all the main characters were there too? :p

Yeah I think that is how the show will pan out. Maybe some of them will change their fate while others no mater how hard the try cannot.

Re:

I suppose that my last comment was too much of a spoiler alert.:what

Sorry about that!

For those that have not seen this show yet, if you have some free time, Hulu it. I thought it sucked until I got passed the intro & blackout parts. Then it gets twisted from then on.

Re: FlashForward

Oh hello gratuitous spoiler tags ;)
Finally someone actually made a decisive action to ensure that things don't play out as they might rather than just blindly following a rubbish montage wall that clearly leads nowhere in 6 months.
Might read the book at some point as it is seemingly quite different with visions 21 years in the future, and not just some elongated CSIesque drama.....

First it was Lost, which I endured for one season, then 24 which I managed to watch from 1 and a half seasons. Various others have caught me for a max of two seasons but nothing has griped me like The Wire, I watched all episodes of the 5 series.

This Flashinthepanshit got me for three episodes, moved on, I'd rather watch the xfactor!

Re: FlashForward

So if they have the murder weapon that will be used to kill Dimitri why don't they just destroy it.

#1304081Post 19 of 34

Re:

What^?

They have, yet, to find out who will kill Demetri. All they know is when. Except, in the last episode...
During a meeting, a NSA agent revealed that the agency had a recording of the call made to Demetri in which he discovered his murder date. The FBI, then, discovered the call originated from Hong Kong. The episode ended with Mark & Demetri going to Hong Kong against strict orders.
You must be an episode behind. They aired Episode 10 on Monday in the UK. It finished now till after Christmas.

Re:

Ahhh..ok. They don't air it here until Thursday. Shhhh! Don't tell me anymore.;)

Re: FlashForward

Ahh for some reason I thought you live in the US

#1304123Post 23 of 34

Re:

Yes I do. I guess ABC is slow here.

#1304125Post 24 of 34

Re: FlashForward

Strange the US shows are normally broadcast there first

#1304131Post 25 of 34

Re:

I thought so too. That's what confused me I suppose. Don't movies come out here before they do in the UK also?

#1304145Post 26 of 34

Re: FlashForward

Yeah normally the US get movies and TV first. Programmes like Lost, 24 & Prison Break used to be a few months behind but now its normally only a week because of all the illegal downloading and people recording US TV shows then selling copies on eBay

Ok, I finally watched the last episode. I was thinking the same thing. They have the gun with that serial number on it...melt the bitch down & change the future. I fully knew something was gonna happen to Lloyd too. Also, I'm starting to dig that other physicist that's a psycho path. He's twisted! Sucks we have to wait forever for another new show.

Re: FlashForward

How many electron volts?

HOW MANY ELECTRON VOLTS?

ooh let me count them....

Lost interest in this one now, I think. Didn't even manage to watch both parts of the new episodes

Re: FlashForward

i just saw the 10 episode re-cap - caught my attnetion for the new shows

worried the recap is a safer bet than a one hour show tho!

#1355261Post 30 of 34

Re:

The 2 hour premier answered a lot of questions which was good. Last week's episode was decent. The ending was no suprise at all. I'm looking forward (no pun) to this week's show. I'll check that one out tomorrow.

Re:

I started watching this again over on Hulu. I'm enjoying it more this time around since both complete seasons are uploaded. I forgot how good this show was, IMO.

#1608987Post 32 of 34

Re: FlashForward

Ahhhh Shit - theres a season 2? ffs they cancelled it our side after 1

#1609342Post 33 of 34

Re: FlashForward

Was going to watch this, but since it went nowhere and got meh reviews I'm deleting my downloads of it, just like I did Alcatraz, to make room for better stuff.

#1609805Post 34 of 34

Re:

Forget downloading it. Just watch it (& others) at the aforementioned spot.
