A seriously fucked up film...SERIOUSLY fucked up. Scenes include a women chopping off her clit! I don't really know what to make of it yet...I think its definitely worth watching but a word of warning it is really slow.

It's a lot more shock than anything coherent, and while I'm not a huge fan of Lars von Trier, the two people who I saw this with said they didn't dig it at all.

Some great moments - the opening sequence detailing the tragedy that sets the events in motion is really well done, but the film is a pretty incoherent art house mess. Kind of surprised Charlotte Gainsbourg got a best actress nod from Cannes for this.

I was just looking over the films screened at Cannes last night and happened upon this. Watched the trailer last night, it looks pretty crazy. I have also been hearing about how twisted it is. It looks worth checking out but I hope it isnt too much of a mess :(

I watched this last night and it was a shittier pornier (if that's even a word) version of the hills have eyes with the gross value upped through the roof, which is why I wish I had slit my wrists 30 minutes into it. Not worth even mentioning a rating.

Female and male genital mutilation in clear view, yes they showed both male and female genitalia being whacked. I'll leave it at that.

Ever see "Body of Evidence" with Madonna? That convinced me he'll do pretty much anything.

(I feel the same way about him doing Boondock Saints - but there are peeps here that liked that, so I went with the more obviously shitty choice)

Given the fact that they showed the Green Goblin's Pee Pee in the first 5 minutes of the movie, my mind had practically shut of all audio input and I was kind of phasing visually in and out of the flick from that point on. The 3 beggars scene with the bleeding vag-slashed psycho was ..... was .... aah fuck it, words fail me.
