its so damn tragic how much potential he had to be a truly great actor. i get depressed everytime i watch his joker; i'd kill to see him reprise the roll...

this looks like a fitting tribute to him, though. absolutely can't wait to see it!

So they cast Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law to play the rest of Heaths role? If so, thats a pretty clever workaround. In context of the fantastical storyline it works well.

this was a Johnny Depp role from the beginning imo, nothing against Heath, RIP, but Johnny can play the dark twisted characters very well and not off himself in the process, thank god

Really, Johnny Depp was the one originally cast? I had no idea. I wouldn't discredit Heath at playing dark twisted characters, he did win an Oscar for playing the Joker.

leave poor Heath alone in the grounds of earth. this movie will blast anyway - for me it's important to see Gilliam alive cos' he's the weirdest of them all

no, I'm saying he should have been cast as I said nothing against Heath, and I he did a great job, but JD does a tremendous job without losing himself and his life :(

and yes, I'm sure this movie will be very cool

i absolutely LOVE terry gilliam movies, his visual style is so amazing. i can't wait to see this, i think it is opening this weekend in the indie theater by me this weekend.

my roommate went to see this last night, and she loves movies like this.. she said it sucked, very disappointing

also said heath ledgers acting was very sporadic and annoyingly over the top and that the part probably should have been johnny depp's to begin with.. most it didnt make sense and just doesnt really go any where

wouldn't be rushing to go see it

Dude, you were right, this movie was awesome, i really enjoyed it! Definitely buying this on dvd.

Lesson (re) learned: Never let someone else's opinion of art make your mind up before judging for yourself... i re-learned this after watching this movie. at the end of the day, I usually like movies most people don't anyway :lol:
