Surprised there wasn't a thread about this one. I saw this over the weekend and can attest that it is a very well made movie. Daniel Craig was so-so in the movie but his brother did a MUCH better job in acting. Also, the kid from latest King Kong is in it and he too was very natural in his role. The casting was great and the speed/sequencing was splendid. I really enjoyed the way this plays out.

Based on a true story of the Bielski Brothers (Jews) during WWII and how they survived by hiding in forests for nearly 3 years before the war ended.

never got a chance to see it. i watched part of it online, and kinda liked it. gotta check out the whole thing though sometime.

I remmeber seeing a little portion while it was playing in the background at one of those bootleg stores and it looked good. Must remmember to pick up the DVD.

I'm curious, what part of the direction wasn't liked. I just wanna know cause my curiosity is peaking in terms of what others look for in guaging a flick.

i watched this a long while back, thought it was pretty average. not terrible at all or anything but decent.
