The French are on a roll. They have completly revamped the horror genre with both L'interieur (inside) and now Martyrs.

Extremely shocking violent film, it's a tough watch, you may either love it or hate it. The ending is mind blowing and you will keep thinking about it for days (although it's open ended and you can interpret it the way you want).

A controversial thinking person's movie that will cause some debate and certainly fits the current climate of the 21st century in a secular, morbid, dark, cynical and doubtful society.
