I can't wait to see this film.
The first one blew me away.
I've never seen a film like the first, I checked for showtimes in my area, but to no avail.
I hope to see this flick soon also.
Its completely whack. I love love love the first film, but this one was utterly inferior in every way. I don't think I liked it at all.

That sucks that you didn't enjoy the second one, I'd still like to see it.
I remember the feeling I got when I watched the first one, I thought my life had suddendly changed for the better because it was such a profound film.

I agree with Zen on, the first but not on the second. GITS 2 "rocked" man! It might not be as easy to follow as the first...but if you pay attention, as the first one required soo much of, you'll love it. Seen it twice, probably gonna see it again soon. There is one seen in particular that I'll never, ever forget, it is soo cool...Watch it!!! :RockOn:
I'v seen both GITS 1 and 2. GITS 1 is definitely action packed. I have to say they both have different feels to them. The first is a hit for it's story line, it's characters and the ground-breaking traditional cel to CG enhancements. The second one pushes the technical skill higher but the story has a slow momentum and it will lose a lot of people seeing it for the first time. I think it complements the first story well. I liked this one more for it's focus on the characters, especially Botou. Go see it, if you liked the first one you should appreciate this one as well, just don't expect the Major to play a big part.
Sorry to dig up an old one, but I still haven't forgiven my self for missing this while it was out. It was only here for like 2 weeks...WTF.
