Nah, Nick Fury is the director of SHIELD. He's like some hardcore embittered war hero/general in the comics. The suit you're thinking of is War Machine, which is worn by Rhodes, Stark's military liason and friend.

ho i remember now, the general rite? that says in "in other time baby" something like that.... i remember of nick fury is the one that is on a big air base rite? where some of the heroes reunited or some sort of that, thats has an eye patch...interesting...

the first one was very good like it alot, and im intrige with the final where the general and tony stark reunited on the bar, whats with that?...cap. america?

Yup. That's Rhodes hinting at his role as War Machine. And yes, Nick Fury is the dude who commands the helicarrier. What's interesting is Nick Fury was all along a white guy until one of the comic writers made him a black dude using Samuel L Jackson as a template, and now they've decided to have Jackson play the part in a movie.

Quite curious about pt 2's story, I hope it's the Armour Wars where Stark's technology gets stolen and he goes on a hunt to deactivate all the rogue armours out there.

USA Today has the first photo of Mickey Rourke as Whiplash in Iron Man 2 — putting to rest any question about what character Rourke will be playing in the sequel. Yeah most ppl are big fans of Robert.....however I just find him slimy, lol...I heard he will be in the new avengers film in 2012 too.

You're kidding right? X-Men 3 sucked donkey balls, Spiderman 3 was downright gay, and Hulk was the only decent one out of that list.

Which still doesn't eclipse Iron Man. I think it was the most enjoyable superhero film of the year except for the final fight scene.

One word describes this movie - disappointing.

Too many plotlines that go nowhere (or are set up for the Avengers movie). All the writing that made the first movie so snappy and fun to watch is pretty much gone for the most part. The cast is (for the most part) making use of the material they have before them, though I'm not sure if Mickey Rourke really "gets" being a super villain - he reminds me a bit of Robert De Niro in the Rocky and Bullwinkle movie.

Too many characters; Black Widow really could have been cut out of the movie entirely, and I would have liked it better. And why do we have to wait for the halfway point to see Samuel L. Jackson show up in a cameo as Nick Fury? The only thing that elevated the movie was the footage after the credits (which is basically an advertisement for the next Marvel movie in 2011).

It's a special effects brain dead summer sequel for the sake of making a sequel. And it looks like more of the same for the rest of the summer, with the exception of Christopher Nolan's Inception (the idea of dream thieves sounds kinda trippy).

Iron Man 2 isn't terrible per se, but it feels like they jammed two half written movies into this sequel and didn't bother to focus enough on what made the first movie so great - Robert Downey Jr.

I saw Iron Man 2 this afternoon and would rate it as a decent movie. It was slow in certain parts and ended with some good action scenes. The movie seemed to run a little long with some unnecessary dialogue with Robert Downey Jr. being himself. I would recommend for those of you who liked the first Iron Man. Overall worth seeing, but nothing special.

the critics have bashed this movie so far... couple of my friends went to see it expecting the worst and said it was better than they anticipated. they said there was way too much going on in the movie at some points to keep a straight plot. i didn't see part 1, doubt i'll see part 2.

Loved the movie, admittedly it was a bit slow, but it focused more on the father/son relationship. ... people who say there was no plot... must be smoking something! If I were a kid, the action sequences would have blown my mind. Excellent action flick with excellent sound effects as well.

(Did not like the first movie all that much btw)

I didn't dig this at all. I loved the mystery behind Iron Man's identity in part 1 that was completely done away with in this movie. And his birthday bash? That 5 minute sequence just turned this movie from disappointing to disastrous for me. The effects weren't earth shattering (they seemed to have so much more of an impact in part 1), the unnecessary hype, the tight assed pepper potts (what a departure from her mild mannered self in part 1), scarlett johansson playing the role she did, I mean just too much was balancing on the success from part 1 to be executed in part 2, which in the end, it just didn't deliver. Give it a [B]4.5 / 10[/B].
