If you're familiar with sci-fi, you might be familiar with Joe Haldeman. He, along with the likes of Heinlein, are prolific sci-fi military-esque writers. Scott hasn't done a sci-fi since Blade Runner and I think he's deserving of this piece. He really hasn't let me down over the years with his movies. I can't wait for this cause I know he'll make this as much a cult classic as he did with Blade Runner.

i think aliens was 1979 though wasn't it? Blade Runner I believe was afterwards.

You're both correct ! For some reason I'd though BR was earlier (prob. because Harrison Ford was younger back then).
