Re: Batman Begins

Machinist is a decent movie...good suspense throughout but somewhat predictable at times. If you liked Memento you might like this one.

Re: Batman Begins

i loved this movie..... i LOVE tim burton, but i think this is the best batman movie yet, as well as the best comic book flick since it all started years ago. it is a great film that happens to be based on a comic....and all of my comic friends (as i am not a comic person...) loved it. good acting....good script....great director.....

#439158Post 43 of 73

i also saw the movie in the imax thteater. the movie was real good and real dark. i even had to cover my gf's kid's eyes because of the "scary" characters in it. katie holmes did not fit the role, though. sick of her.

any movie where the bad guy feeds his enemies hallucinagens has got my vote.

Re: Batman Begins

I thought Batman Begins was good too. I like the first Batman movie with Jack Nicholson as the joker as much though. The beginning of Batman Begins was the best part. I thought later in the movie it got a little outlandish which I guess it should since it's a comic book movie.

I like the way they setup the ending for the next Batman movie. Hopefully we'll get a decent franchise going.

Re: Batman Begins

i like it. It?s awesome. But i agree with superdave, the first Batman movie with Jack Nicholson as the joker is the best of all time. 8)

#442954Post 48 of 73

I really enjoyed this movie. It was darker than the rest and it focused more on the element of fear, the real essence of Batman, which made it that much better. It was especially welcome post-Ahhhhnold.

5/5 IMO. :Bingo:

Re: Batman Begins

I liked the movie too. Great cast and a good comeback for Batman after the last two disasters. It?s interesting how it contradicts the story on Batman 1 where the Joker was the murderer of Batman parents. However, the movie still isnt quite as goog as the first two movies which were awesome. One thing I hated about this movie what the batmovil: what the f%$& was that... so unsexy and slow.

Re: Batman Begins

Absolutely love it. Great casting. Great story. Excellent balance between telling the beginning story and throwing in the action sequences.

As for the Batmobile. Christopher Nolan never meant it to be sexy. It's inkeeping with the story in that it's been modified from imported military equipment. So it makes sense.

Easily the best Batman move.

Loved it. It would really be great if they re-did the jocker movie, like remoh said over there.

Re: Batman Begins

i dont think that the jack nicholson movie should be re-made, better the last 3,2 movies, that was pretty shitty with arnold carrey and 2 faces....... :?

#445302Post 57 of 73

Yeah, Nicholson as Joker is a classic that shouldn't be remade right now if ever.

Re: Batman Begins

Saw Batman Begins last night, was well impressed overall, a whole lot better than the previous couple

Was a lot less cartoon-ish I thought, a kind of change in direction overall, with the focus on Batman rather than the villain.

It looks like a remake of The Joker is on the cards alright, it's hard to see how they could improve on Jack Nicholson though!!!!!

Re: Batman Begins

This movie definately gets two thumbs up and if I had three thumbs well I will give it three thumbs up!! It was everything you would expect from a Batman movie..It was dark, good story line, interesting dilogue, and amazing special effects...did I mention amazing special effects!!!!

Re: Batman Begins

just got a chance to see this movie on dvd and it kicks ass. love the style, theme and story. 2 things though. what's up with liam neesom being the older mentor guy in every movie he does now? katie holmes. not a good choice. she has no depth in her characters. i was waiting for dawson to come on the screen when ever she was there.

Re: Batman Begins

Definitely one of the best movies of the past year. I saw it 3 times in the theater, and just bought it on DVD.

Re: Batman Begins

Finally saw this on DVD and love it. Wanted to scratch my eyes out every time Katie Holmes was on screen but the rest of the movie was very enjoyable. Loved the Michael Caine cast for Alfred and the darker feel to the whole story.

Re: Batman Begins

Where the hell have I been? I finally saw this and I love it. This isn't just the best Batman movie, I'm saying this is the best comic book-adapted movie ever (Superman, Spiderman, X-Men, all of them). I loved the Michael Keaton Batman, but this is on a whole other level, it is a serious film.

I thought the cast, acting, direction, everything just great. Nieson, Cain, Freeman, Oldman, the guy who played Batman (?) all great. I'm glad they didn't waste time making the Batmobile the star, when a prop is the main attraction it means they have nothing else to offer. Same with Katie Homles, I though she was perfect in that she was so completely unspectacular, it kept a lame romantic subplot from overpowering the rest of the movie.

I really hope they go from here and redo the entire series, or just work with different villians. The lead in to the Joker was very well executed, no reason to stop.

5/5

Re: Batman Begins

I know this is way after the fact, but I got a chance to see Batman Begins on the IMAX 5 story screen. Made the movie even better obviously. IMAX even made Charlie and the Chocolate Factory seem good. But that movie did kinda suck.

Re: Batman Begins

Just saw this today through on demand. I have to agree, one of the best films I've seen a while. I thought it wouldn't be better than the original batman, but was hands down better. I can't wait for the sequel. I hope Nolan directs the next one.
