Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

I don't care what you guys say. I'm going to see this. These flicks always get my adrenalin pumping. And I like that feeling while I'm watching a movie. And watching them rip off a tanker truck is pretty wild.

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

yea, as much as i dislike all the fast & furious garbage, i probably will end up seeing this. trailer doesn't look all that bad either.

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

I end up watching every movie that comes out...on a plane or bus or at someones house...one way or another I am sure i will end up watching this as well but I certainly will not pay to see it.

^^im with ya on that one

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

I saw the 2-3 ones in the theaters and it was way better than watching it on my TV. Though I would only watch them after they've been out for a few weeks and during the week or on a Sunday when there's not a lot of people there.

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

Whos have the idea ???First maybe good 2. bad 3. lol 4???

#1131422Post 12 of 42

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

I thought the third one was more interesting than the 2nd with that cheesy drug dealer plot.

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

I wish this series would mature into something more adult-oriented, instead of cater to the "i'm 18 and i have a tricked out '89 honda accord" crowd.

#1131651Post 14 of 42

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

89 accord. Damn I think i'd be afraid to trick out something that old. Unless it was to make a nice lowrider out of a 64 Impala.

Well we'll just have to see how this one "matures". LOL.

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

First was decent. Everything after = pile of shit.

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

dear god, this is exactly what we all need is the rebirth of the beat to death beaters half assedly tricked out by kids with no knowledge of how to trick out a car. i do like those bumble bee mufflers tho, bunch of jack asses.

#1133148Post 17 of 42

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

Oh that is the one thing I can't stand about those cars. I call the the fart makers. Cause they sound like one big fart going down the road.

#1133162Post 18 of 42

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

If this was the sequel to the first, I would be interested.

They absolutely screwed that series after 1.

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

The 1st and 3rd were entertaining. But the 2nd was utter crap.

#1139198Post 20 of 42

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

I wouldn't say UTTER crap. It was crappy. The car chases were cool. but the story sucked. If I wanted to watch really good car chasing scenes I'd watch Grand Prix.

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

wonder how much Vin is getting for this film? That is probably half their entire budget!

Nah, he's no where near as wanted in films as he was when the first was made.

Think that one did him in lol

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

nah i think it was the film before that, which caused his descent, then that was the only thing he could pick up. Until the FATF people decided to do another film.

His role in FIND ME GUILTY was actually a good one.

Pitch black was ok

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

quite embarrassed to say, but i am going to see this tonight. my boys (8 & 9 years old) love cars and racing movies. it's been a while since we have gotten out and they have begged me all week. i shall report back on this steaming pile afterwards. at least if the movie sucks (and if history is any kind of teacher, it will) i can get enjoyment vicariously through my kids having a good time.

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

Got a screener sent to my place last night - it pretty much delivers what it's promising - lots of car porn and Vin Diesel grunting most of his dialogue. Silly as all fuck, and doesn't really adhere to any logic other than try to move the story to the next car chase, but when there is a car chase (and they go for any excuse for a car chase) they go all out with the cgi and the pretty cars and the GPS shots.

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker... what can I say... its all eye candy to me....lol

:D

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

ok, so i watched this past weekend and i have to say it wasnt bad. didnt much care for the cinematography during the racing scenes, lots of blur in there i'm assuming to cut budget a little, but the story line of this movie wasnt bad. the story good, the action sequences were ok. overall i would rate a 7/10. better than the first one imo.

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

Wasn't the first called THE Fast and the Furious? Now this one is FAST and Furious? Are you kidding me? I wouldn't see just for the lack of effort in the title. Must have been a short meeting. "ok let's just take out the 2 The's" IDIOTS!

#1197827Post 34 of 42

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

well they can't do much for the title and still keep Fast and Furious in the name.

This isn't exactly anything new. I mean - Die Hard 2: Die Harder and just about any other of the Die Hard sequels weren't exactly burning brain cells coming up with titles.

Its all about BRANDING...

The name itself sells.... why rock the boat! Marketing... damn they can sell you anything really :D

Re: Fast & Furious (2009)

i just found the film online and began watching it only to come up across a serious faux paux in movie making. When you've got a guy who played in the last film...the guy han who dies in the last tokyo drift. You CAN'T have him be alive for this film. Unless this is supposed to be a prequel to number 2, but I don't see it happening.
