This trailer looks amazing. The opening sequence with Kirk as a kid nearly falling over the edge, his first encounter, the set, Spock, the space action, the filming, I didn't think I'd be this impressed TBH.

never was a trekkie, but this was rly well done and entertaining movie - start to finish. the sound editing and action sequences topped the richter in my book, and they even injected a good amount of humor in it as well.

I rarely go to a movie theater unless it's "there will be blood" or "no country for old men" or "lord of the rings." This was a great movie theater movie, looking fwd to seeing it a second time!

i just got back from this and it was great ...the script was excellent in restarting the franchise ... in comparison to retelling the story from the start like last the 3 Star Wars movies did, this is much better than those 3 movies put together imo

only thing was that I thought Chris Pine's Captain Kirk could be slightly campier and be closer to Shatner's original but the rest of the casting were great and close to the original

The plot was a bit of a stretch (then again, this is star trek) but as long as you don’t try and pick all the flaws and holes in the story, you should enjoy it. Special effects were some of the best I’ve seen, the music/sound fx were also really top notch – especially for a big budget sci-fi film. The cast was the strong point though, all the major players did their part very well. Simon Pegg as Scotty was fantastic, thought Chris Pine as Kirk had the right mix of humor/douchebag and the girl who played Uhura was not only an absolute, drop dead smokeshow but did very well with a pretty one dimensional role.[/COLOR][/FONT]

I remember thinking some of the scenes were really cool, like when Spock Prime's ship crashed into Neros and the Red Matter was released, and all the space porn scenes with the Enterprise looming from nowhere or the ones where they played with the angles cos it's in space. Man I love space porn.

ya that part was bad ass! i like th dynamics of his ship, and how it flew kinda like boba fetts slave1 ship.

the part when they sky dived onto the platform was exhilarating, and when they exited the warp at vulcan into all that debris and had to evade it. intense.

Saw this on Friday. I was never into Star Trek growing up, but really enjoyed this film. The effects are spot on and it ties everything together nicely. I recommended for anyone.
