anyone watch this shit? great cast and nice plot. if you liked the shield, you just might like this. i actually have been brought up in and around this culture, and i can safely state that this show has an okay take on things.

what's your opinion?

Re: sons of anarchy

Seeing that guy get the club tattoo burned from his back was pretty hardcore. Glad to have been watching the show since the first episode. FX is slowly becoming my favorite "regular" tv station. I can't freakin wait till Rescue Me comes back out.
i actually have been brought up in and around this culture
i grew up in biker bars around slob ass wastoids doing crank and coke. and weed was more or less the oxygen of choice. can't say the bikers i grew up with were violent gun slingers or murderers, but how much does a child know? i like the show, and not because i grew up in a bikers world, but because it's got good writing and a decent plot. some of the actors leave a bit to be desired, but overall i dig the show.

on a side note, i can't believe The Shield is almost gone. :(

i was very cynical of this show at first, but it turned out to be really well thought out and executed forsure. really bummed about the shield ending tho..i guess it's time to pick up the box sets.

one of my longings is to see blues laden edm at sturgis in the future... give it a thought brotha :)

Re: sons of anarchy

Katey Sagal from married with children - " love and marriage, love and marriage go together like a horse and carriage"

She has been in some cracker series recently and has really aged well - think i saw her a couple of time in Boston legal as well

Re: sons of anarchy

Love this show... I DVR The Ultimate Fighter so I can watch this in real time. I loved Dutch's character on SOA. What a psychopath!! With The Shield coming to an end, I am glad this one came out when it did.

Speaking of FX, hopefully Nip/Tuck gets back to some good quality seasons come January.

#1115901Post 12 of 38

Re: sons of anarchy

Seems like nip/tuck jumped the shark couple seasons ago but FX always comes out with great shows. Love SOA.

Re: sons of anarchy

Caught the first episode last night - not bad will see how it develops.

#1118917Post 14 of 38

Re: sons of anarchy

Yeah I DVR UF too. But usually the repeat is on right after the first showing of SOA so I don't have to worry about much. I'm also getting Sunny too.

Can't wait for Rescue Me.

Re: sons of anarchy

Good last episode. Gutted though cuz no Entourage, True Blood, SOA. and Dexter coming to a close. WTF am I gonna watch?:(

#1125676Post 16 of 38

Re: sons of anarchy

Time to watch lotsa Discovery and Science Channel.

That episode was awesome. Only a few more weeks and Burn Notice comes back on and then a few more after that for Rescue Me.

Re: sons of anarchy

yeah, cannot wait. i went and acquired seasons 1 and 2 yesterday; gonna watch periodically until then.

i really didn't like season 2 all that much, to be quite honest; and the way they over-spammed jack daniels in the advertisements was meh. like come on, really? what a bunch of patronizing bullshit.

next season should be interesting though.

Re: sons of anarchy

Season 7 was a massive roller-coaster of highs and lows - it was the best series I have watched since breaking bad

#1735767Post 33 of 38

Re: sons of anarchy

I though they really milked it for the last two seasons.

#1735781Post 34 of 38

Re: sons of anarchy

Agreed the long episodes in 7 (ep 12 an hour and 20) could have been cut down dramatically - my wife had a good laugh saying they could have cut at least 10 minutes an episode if they didn't hug each other

Re: sons of anarchy

my sister said the other day she thought this was one of the best shows she'd ever seen...also she was really saddened by the final episode recently. i haven't had time to watch this show yet, but plan to.

#1735801Post 36 of 38

Re: sons of anarchy

Your sister has obviously not watched Prisioners Of War.

Re: sons of anarchy

Homeland is actually based off of the premise of that series. I've only watched the first episode of POW but for sure want to finish it soon.
