Gotta go with the Secret of Nimh too. I remember watching this back in the 80s when it came out. Always thought it was great, it was scary, dark and serious and Nicodemus scared the crap out of me when I was a kid.

about 5 mins in is the best part. any animated flick that can be that dark and creepy is a win in my book. i have to go find my copy of this i havent watched it in years. watching this again reminds me how much it creeped me out when i was a kid.

all the warhammer and warcraft cutscenes over the last few years. those two studios need to be funded for a movie.

Finding Nemo and Wall-E have to top the list for pixar animations but one of my all time favorite would be this japanese animation called Perfect Blue .. perfect mind fuck of a movie and not just for an animation

Nemo for sure. Liked Monsters inc, and the one with woody allen as the ant.
Clone Wars is in there as well, more for the story line adding to the Star Wars saga than anything else tho.

come on peeps, name some more serious stuff. note, i love about every pixar flick that has come out, they are amazing, but how about some adult themed cartoons. they dont have to be xxx rated or anything, but any other good animated stuff not marketed towards kids at all? yes i know pixar films are adult flicks too, which is why i love them, but how about something less kid friendly and serious, except Akira which was already mentioned.

some of the older Disney ones.. Jungle Book and Robin Hood take me back.. the pixar technology is amazing stuff, but those old animated movies are something special imo

Samurai X(not the ones that are in cartoon network) afro samurai(theres going to be a movie) final fantasy(this count as animated? is CGI) princess monokome theres another one that i liked something like "shinguiro, shiguiro" about a girl that get stuck in some fantasy world with her parents getting into pigs and some boy that can tranform into a blue dragon...anyone knows the name of it?
i liked wall-e, nemo, toy story is also good, cant recall more but those are ones ! :D
