the old version was good, but the updated version being shown an A&E is dope dope dope. i love how they updated it.

i've only read the book, which was fan-freakin-tastic. one of my favorite chriton reads. looking forward to watching this new version. just wish they'd made it into a proper movie...

u gotta be kidding me. This new version is HORRIFIC, a true TV movie - terrible acting. Ruined a classic.

man, i have to take back what i said. i made this comment right at the beginning...but there are a lot of different things to this movie than the book, and the original.

i didn't like the plot twist at all. yeah, the acting was good in some parts, shitty in others.

anything with rick schroeder should be cancelled, imo.

I think the original needs to be updated in it's original format, not bastardized like this one. They do this a lot with Clancy books too.

so yeah, i take my words back. the ending was interesting, but the book....is just too damn good to start messing around with. They didn't evne have lazer beams in the air shaft ffs!!!

that blows. i dvr'd this hoping it would be good, is it even worth wasting any time on? i have a ton of other shit to go thru on my dvr, and if this isnt worth the 4 hrs i will just delete it. filmschoolrejects.com pretty much said this blows too. it is pretty hard to do a made for tv movie without sucking hard i guess.

i still love the original version of this flick. this movie is still tense and holds up well for it being made way back in 1971 imo.
