Finally got round to seeing this film made in 1990 with Liam Neeson directed by Sam Raimi.

Whilst the special effects are obviously dated now the main characters pull this film along nicely with Neeson doing a sterling job as usual.

If any of you are fans of superheroes etc it is worth checking this out.

having said that, would you agree that sometimes nowadays the special effects actually take away from a movie? i mean, to me it seems like the acting and story can be shite but as long as the special effects are ridiculously over the top the movie goers love it

yeah quite agree steve. i dug spiderman, spiderman 2 was so so but 3, 3 was fucking awful apart from the special effects.

give me good acting over special effects any day.

ps if you havent already see it check out daredevil very underrated superhero film

lol @ dr. giggles. I remember watching that when I was 8. Scared the living crap out of me.
