was watching this one yesterday, wasn't terribly impressed, am 2/3rds my way through it and it couldnt keep me interested in it (i also had a 17 hour day so that could have contributed to it).

Will give it another chance later again

Re: The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007)

Definite good film. I don't like how people all considered Ford a coward and made Jesse to be a folk hero when all he was, was an asshole who robbed and murdered people.

Re: The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007)

yeah but i mean, let say that you are jeffrey james, and kamal shoot you in the back....how does that feel?..

like betrayed...

its bad to rob and kill, but i mean there is a code between man, ford did rob too so why pretting to be a hero just because he killed his boss?...

thats bullshite...

really enjoyed the film......

Re: The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007)

This movie was quite simply AMAZING! Oscar worthy performances from Affleck, Pitt, and Rockwell-Oscar worthy cinematography-Oscar worthy directing. Hate me if you want, but the pacing was perfect. I was glued to my seat. The best part about this movie is that it could have easily been a set up for failure given how slow the story is, but the tension created by each actors performance left me wanting more. The last thing the world "needs" is another typical, gun slinging western. This is by far the best movie I've seen all year.

P.S. for any little Ben Affleck fans... I just have one thing to say, his brother just made him look like a joke

How did you catch that? Thats impressive.

Good film though. I always like when they take a different approach to telling a story and that was certainly the case in this film. People who dismiss brad pitt as just a body and not a real actor and just jealous that he's gotten to bone Jolie and Aniston.

oh i just pasted a bit of the body of the review into google, since it knows all and i gave it a long enough of a string it pretty much finds it automatically for me. i guess thats why larry and sergey are billionaires and im not

was about an hour an a half too long in my opinion. and just altogether dull.

Re: The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007)

^ While I do agree it was long- I thought it was pretty compelling and it held my attention the whole time. Loved a lot of the cut away shots and some of the longer establishing/transitional shots. Great acting, great direction....great work all around. Definitely pick this one up.
