Re: Grindhouse (2007) Rodriguez & Cappuccino

I just watched this last night. Fucking awesome. The whole theater was laughing at all the blatantly overdone gore, violence, and "Missing reel tapes" that were scattered throughout the middle of the movies. Everyone needs to go watch this... such a fun movie.

Re: Grindhouse (2007) Rodriguez & Cappuccino

I saw it over the weekend and really liked it. The story, characters, gore, dialogue were all great. Only issue is that the movie is over 3 hours which may be too much for some.

Re: Grindhouse (2007) Rodriguez & Cappuccino

fucking brilliant.
definitely need to see this one on the big screen people...worth the $$.

planet terror is probably the best zombie flick ever made!

and death proof starts slow, but builds to an amazing ending, with awesome dialouge along the way.

5 stars!

I'm really looking forward to checking it out.. It seems to be getting above average to great reviews from nearly every online source I've checked out. The poster is fantastic! One of the best movie posters I've seen in years. Makes me want to go out and buy it :)

I want to see 'Thanksgiving'... and I REALLY want to see 'Don't'

I really hope that was a real trailer.

Re: Grindhouse (2007) Rodriguez & Cappuccino

haha no they weren't real trailers...

except 'machete', which was made by rodriguez as a fake trailer, but he liked it so much they're gonna make it into a movie!

#839864Post 20 of 32

Re: Grindhouse (2007) Rodriguez & Cappuccino

news so far is that 'machete' is going to be a straight-to-dvd release at the same time that 'grindhouse' comes out on dvd

all of them should be made into proper movies, not just 'machete'

Re: Grindhouse (2007) Rodriguez & Cappuccino

I like the title Werewolf Women of the SS. I'd like to see Rob Zombie make that movie.

they f*cked with the wrong Mexican

saw this last night and loved it. thought the intermissions/previews were great as were both movies - especially Death Proof. The end of that was hilarious.

Re: Grindhouse (2007) Rodriguez & Cappuccino

Watched this on the weekend (well Planet Terror anyway). Thought it was garbage. I know that's meant to be half the point of it but I didn't find it entertaining at all. Decided to leave after that and not hang around for Tarantino's movie. Don't think I would've been missing out on much.

death proof > planet terror

(although i liked both)

Re: Grindhouse (2007) Rodriguez & Cappuccino

Ok I just saw both of this films, and they are great!!! Planet Terror is the best zombie film ever made. Death Proof is the best car chase ever made. Can´t wait to see machete! 5 stars

#935095Post 27 of 32

Re: Grindhouse (2007) Rodriguez & Cappuccino

Planet Terror > Death Proof. The dialog in Death Proof was underwhelming. I thought this was suppose to be like a homage to these old films. Planet Terror was on point but Death Proof felt like Tarrantino wanking himself all over the script.

#935108Post 28 of 32

Re: Grindhouse (2007) Rodriguez & Cappuccino

watched planet terror, havent watched death proof yet. plant terror wasnt too bad. machete will probably be cool though, i like that badass guy who is always in everything so he should do a good job. they fucked with the wrong mexican!

#935126Post 29 of 32

Re: Grindhouse (2007) Rodriguez & Cappuccino

i agree with death proof. they could've cut the first hour of dialog out of the movie and we wouldn't miss a thing

Re: Grindhouse (2007) Rodriguez & Cappuccino

Guys I am very sure that the whole Machete trailer was a PISS take...i.e. there is not gonna be a Machete film! p.s Both of these films are something crapiest I have seen in a long time...p.p.s. Rodrigez did a better job. p.p.p.s. Army of Darkness owned both of these films.

OKAY it just got worse there is gonna be a Machete movie! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0985694/

Re: Grindhouse (2007) Rodriguez & Cappuccino

I just saw Planet Terror and Death Proof. By far, Planet Terror was the better of the two films....gory, over the top, cheesy one liners, and plenty of zombies. It is by far one of the best zombie movies ever. Kudos to Robert Rodriguez and Tarantino for creating this amazing movie.
