During our weekly poker game while talking TV a few of the guys kept mentioning how great "The Shield" was. I kept blowing them off but finally a rented the 1st season 1st DVD a few weeks ago when i had the flu. Holy shit am i glad i checked this out.

I got hooked right in. This is one of the best shows i've ever seen. I got a few of my friends into and we all cant believe how we missed out on this over the years.

What a great show.

Anyone else out there agree?

i used to watch this alot but drifted off the last couple of seasons, but it is a great show. michael chicklis went from being the fat bald commish to being the bald baddass who whups the shit out of anyone who fucks with him. i did get a bit tired of the show trying to be 'raw' though, random quotes about wangs being sucked by prostitutes, things like that just to by 'racy', lame. but other than that a good show.

thought it sucked last season and stopped watching after 5 episodes into it.... first 3 seasons were fucking awesome. should have never brought in that no talent assclown forest whitaker. he annoys me to death. bring back glenn close.

religiously watched this show from the first episode to the last. i love it, but do agree this last season tapered off a little bit. but if you all remember how the last season ended then next season should actually be pretty hott. lookin forward to it.

i love the shield, i got into not too long ago got seasons 1,2, and 3 at a great deal and just finished 4 from blockbuster ... 5 is coming cant wait

i love movies but lately its tv that's bringing the thunder ... the shield is one of those shows that is soprano like and it builds kinda like a set ...

everyone looks over dutch's caracter, i like his character too. he feels like he keeps getting shit on all the time, i think he is a pretty good conflicted character too.

i need to get back into this show and keep up with it.

the whole cast is good. thought there was going to be a fucked up storyline with dutch after he killed that cat a while back, but never really materialized. im still waiting for Aceveda to get fucked for having that guy killed.

I think its cool so far (Season 6), I've watched every episode in the series. Usually you can cut the tension with a knife in the really good episodes; great series overall.

really enjoying the season thus far too - now that the Lem's killer storyline seems to be (for now) resolved a bit, should be interesting to see how well they integrate the new character (vic's replacement) in and see how that goes.

finally got caught up on all episodes. what can i say?? the writing and acting is all on point. the story (and chaos) flows flawlessly in this show. things are gonna get hairy now that shane has.........

The Shield is the finest show I have seen on TV since Miami Vice.
So many cop shows fail to differentiate from the mundane, routine, boring nonsense that is ubiquitous on TV. What is fascinating about the Shield is that it is not afraid to depict the protagonist (Chiklis) in "morally flexible" situations.

Season 3 is the finest yet.

If you liked the Shield, I recommend that new show on AMC, "Breaking Bad."

Got all 5 seasons in my collection and ordered season 6 a while ago I never have them in my house as they are snapped up by fanatical fans of the show to watch.

By far the best series i have in my collection.
