Saw it tonight and I liked it. It had incredible filming but the end kinda tanked for me. I thought Piven was dope and Ryan Reynolds out of his comedy stuff for a serious role. In all I give it a 6/10. Some of it didnt make sense to me.

I'm in agreement with the above reviews. Entertaining film that was fun to watch. Nothing outstanding though.

Re: Smokin Aces

Yeah Steve, I loved it. Though the ending could have been alittle better.

Re: Smokin Aces

if you want fast, low quality action and brain less characters and be able to take a pee every 10 minutes without losing anything - yes oh wait, some say the end has a twist!!! I think that the twist just makes it even more ridiculous as if it was a secret antidote to save a piece of s&!t

Re: Smokin Aces

The twist was so predictable it's not funny. Not so much in the sense that you knew what the outcome would be, more that you knew it was coming and you just had to sit there for 90 minutes until it came.

It was a so-so movie, some good scenes but overall it didn't make much sense to me and the outcome was very unbelievable.

5/10.

Finally saw this ( in two parts while running on the treadmill). I liked it, the first 2/3 in particular. However, I think it tried a little to hard to be all "snatch/lock stock" with all the various characters and didn't quite pull it off.

Re: Smokin Aces

I refuse to watch any movie that has Ben Affleck, aside from the Kevin Smith movies.

defiantly agree with this. was a terry try hard snatch/lock stock rip. didnt have the same clever writing and dialogue to carry it off though.
