the first one was a blockbuster in comparison, watched this one yesterday, cant believe what a love story they've tried to convert this one into. And they also toned down the "attitude" hellboy has in part 1, he's comparatively calmer and a lot less wittier. cant believe they would change it so much. but its worth a braindead watch if you liked part 1

in comparison to part 1, absolutely, if you just wanna watch another movie for the heck of it, then its a worthy watch cause the cgi is pretty darn good

Against my better judgement (it was either this or Clone Wars and I was doped up on flu meds) and everything I read in here, I caught the film.

Terrible terrible storyline. The creatures were great though. Looked like a case of the studios deciding to make use of the director who did some cool creature effects on Pan's Labyrinth, and then bastardising the story to make it palatable for the masses.

But I still <3 Selma Blair.

Anticlimactic and the "villain" was a pussy. :(

I loved the troll village though and that giant thing he fought. Those were fun to watch.

Definitely felt some studio impact on this one.

The director would've been put to better use on a movie adaptation of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere.

tend to disagree with the negatives above i thoroughly enjoyed it and whilst not as good as hellboy director's cut here's hoping they will release a director's cut for this one too

Picked up the DVD of this at the weekend.

Definitely not shit, well worth seeing IMO. Some funny moments, and i love Del Toro's work. I think a 3rd movie (thats rumoured) would really finish this off nicely.
