:(
A disturbing portrayal of teenage life, AIDS, and the Kids of New York City. Controversial in its content, the film exposes the grim reality of a group of skate-boarders in the space of 24 hours. Primarily the story consists of Telly (Leo Fitzpatrick) a 17 year old slacker whose mission is to de-flower as many young girls as possible, whilst unprotected. Things turn bad when an old flame finds out she has tested positive for HIV and the only person she has had sex with is Telly. She chases through New York to find him but is too late as he has already de-flowered yet another innocent pre-teen.
I just watched this last night... I think the only time I've ever felt this dirty after watching a movie might have been after watching Requiem for a Dream. This thing is full of pre-teen and barely-teen kids drinking, drugging, sexing, murdering, raping, etc. As horrible as this movie was (from the very first minute) I just couldn't stop watching it. Even the scenes (very few) that I laughed at are just plain depressing. Watch this. 5 pickles.

Re: Kids (1995)

the best part was when that dude fucked the chick while she was sleeping. He will have a big surprise the next time he goes to the doctor.

it was a good flick, but what was the deal with the ugly fuck screwing the virgins. damn, could someone that shitty looking get laid in real life?

Re: Kids (1995)

Gummo is different but still fucked up, yes. Kids was huge when it came out because of the topics: HIV, teen sex...

Re: Kids (1995)

Murder? I saw that movie a long time ago, but don't remember the kids murdering anyone. I only remember Casper (or as they say it Caspa) and friends huffing and fucking. I laughed a LOT during this movie. Yeah, they're fucked up kids, but it's funny because it wasn't me or my friends. Gummo is just as funny and more fucked up.

Re: Kids (1995)

:)To All, Kids was shocking for its time. Some will grow up and think the Hills have eyes is shocking. Requiem was als great, also recommend Bad Lieutenant, with Harvey Keitel. Movies that present nothing more than a downward spiral can really lift your spirits. basketball Diaries with a young Leonardo Dicaprio as well as Bruno Kirby and Marky Mark, and Michael Imperioli are also great. Don't forget Leaving Las Vegas and Memento.

i don't think any movie can come close to a Gummo, it's one of a kind!
