Re: Dexter

I watched the first six episodes of Season One last weekend..wicked and promising series. The main char which I knew already from Six feet Under is like made for the series. In the last years some real original series concepts have been created in the USA..loving it. Some of the new shows are so weird or unusual you gotta love that this is obviously mass market compatible in the USA and liked by many people...series like this would be unthinkable to be made here. Maybe in ten years we copy them...with a ten time smaller budget and ten times worse actors so it's just boring and akward in the end like we always do it.

Re: Dexter

argh i havent seen episode 3. but well....cant wait..

#1102555Post 100 of 204

Re: Dexter

From the preview of this weeks eposide, it looks like he's going to end up offing Miguel because he wants to let his brother in on the secret. Knowing Dexter, he won't have any of that..

Re: Dexter

Does this season feel a bit flat compared to the last 2? The victims that Dexter are chasing down, the kills (turning into a routine, no surprises there), and the lack of mystery whatever situations he finds himself in? Quite different from frozen body parts showing up at the pool and the beach, and the psycho girlfriend.

Re: Dexter

I finally caught up with season 3, cant wait for Sunday.

By the way, the second season finale was off the hook, I loved the part where the pyscho gf finds Doaks locked up...lol

Do you still feel like this season is flat? I can't stop myself from yelling at the tv every time I watch it lately. I think they've outdone themselves this season.

I'm really looking forward to how they end the season.. Considering what just happened with Miguel. The skinner being on the loose makes me a little nervous too.

#1134488Post 104 of 204

Re: Dexter

Yeah I still find it flat. I think Dexter should be above that kinda dumb drama between Miguel, and his wedding with Rita. There's nothing intriguing about the Skinner because they revealed his identity way early, and his modus operandi is boring.

I guess I'm comparing it with the ice truck killer with the drained body parts, and leaving Barbie dolls in the fridge as clues, etc. That particular crime was a lot more intriguing and involving IMO.

Just feels like instead of coming up with more intriguing killings, the show is turning into some drama-fest.

Re: Dexter

That looks freakin' awesome! John Lithgow can play a great bad guy and Lundi always adds a twist.

I know... I can't wait to see John as the bad guy... its hard not to like him.

Re: Dexter

Season 3 only recently finished in the UK and I'm geting withdrawal symptoms already. Dexter really is my favourite new series in years - great casting, scripts direction, music - just awesome.

John Lithgow is an inspired choice for villian in series 4. Miguel Prado will take some beating though!

Re: Dexter

^ lol, john lithgow is win.

and,

this show is fucking ace. really into it now.

Re: Dexter

New season started last night! Good start so far...that baby has worn 'ol Dex out and he is getting sloppy. Looks to be a good season with Lundy back in town and on the hunt.

Re: Dexter

^I downloaded the episode and thought I saw that in the previous season?

Re: Dexter

cant wait for next week. yeeeehhhawww

#1281475Post 114 of 204

Re: Dexter

Yeah it is going to get good with Trinity/Dexter/Lundy battle that will ensue. Especially after Dex gets his sea legs with the whole fatherhood/serial killer thing. The only story line I can do without is the story with the LT/Batista...worthless IMO.

Last nights episode was pretty good! It definitely kicked the story up notch...anybody else watch?

Re: Dexter

Surprised Landy died, I thought he was a good character and was expecting him to be a counter balance to Dexter on the show. But next episode looks exciting with the showdown between Dexter and Landy.
