Re: The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

Yeah there's even more shaking going on in part 3 and we noticed the fight scenes aren't as cool since they happened so quickly and in such close quarters, you hardly see what they're doing.

I enjoyed it but would probably only recommend it if you're a fan of the series. The ending kinda left me dissatisfied.

Re: The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

its a cross between 24 with the close ups of people and the shaking from Bourne #2...

Re: The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

they should have got back the director from the first one to do this ... like the second one the camera work was too shaky, half way through my gf was telling me that she felt like throwing up but plot wise its still a decent movie imo although they didnt go into details on his pasts which kinda blows

Re: The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

THE 3rd movie is EXELLENT!!! .I loved that camera shaking and i think all camera work done Brilliantly ! Fight scenes are great ,especially one in Morroco with the book.:)

Re: The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

I never noticed any shaky camerawork in the 2nd one. Don't know what you guys smoked before you went to see it.

Re: The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

Is it the same shaking as MI 2?... same director?
This movie F$%King sucks... if you have a weak stomach you won't be able to take the camera ALWAYS shaking in every shot.. some of the fight scenes are cool but you can't see what is going on because of all the shaking..

I would give it a 3/5
LOL! your giving it a 3/5 and saying it fucking sucks??

this movie was off the fucking chain, nonstop action 8)

You'll love Irreversible then ;)

Re: The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

I'd give it 3/5 too despite the gripes.

The camera work was just a bit too gratuitious IMO, it detracted from the fight scenes. Just keep the screen still so I can actually see Damon kick ass!

Ya but did you see the action?? No I don't think so you saw matt damon moving his arms around and the camera shaking like crazy... IMO they shake the camera to save money on effects.. cheaped out.

Re: The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

Man, how much effects did they need? Shaking up the camera to mask the fighting scene is really cheap. It's 1-on-1 combat ... the least they could've done is gotten a choreographer.

Re: The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

I love 1 and 2. I know I will love 3. He is what James Bond should of been. There is no T&A, just smart action with a great plot line.

The books are good as well, just a hard read.

Re: Bourne Ultimatum
the first two are some of my favorite movies of this genre.

tried to read the books, however...and was completely turned off. John Powell has the most boring writing style i've ever encountered.

this is one of the few cases where the movies were definitely better than the books...
If you are referring to Robert Ludlum's Bourne series, that was a pretty bold thing to say...the movies dont follow the book in any way (well maybe for the fact the Bourne suffers from amnesia) and for the books themselves to be boring, you'd have to be kidding or just not read them period.

Re: The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

Unbelieveable film, I f***in loved it. Just a classy, clever action film. No cheeseball love interest, no unnecessary explosions, just a story line that flows really well.

My new hero is Jason Bourne :)

Re: The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

Yeah i thought it was ok. Never thought of Matt Damon as an action star though. it was better than the other two but i did think it took abit to long to get into the action. the shaky camera was annoying at times as mentioned by others.

All and all its worth seeing i suppose.
