Oliver Stone's historical epic starring Nic Cage and Michael Pena hits theatres this summer. Much like United 93, it will not focus on the actual events of 9/11, but will use the events as a backdrop for a powerful melodrama. This one seems much more charecter driven than U93 however, and it looks like many of the shots have been re-created. The new trailer sent the same chills down my spine that United 93 did, and the film looks great.

Re: World Trade Center

i dont know about that trailer.. it looks kinda cheesy.. i think im just thinking that the actual event was so intense and it was so little ago that a movie cant do it justice.... ill probably watch it though .. i got kinda angry watching the trailer...

Re: World Trade Center

When I saw the trailer for this I knew it was going to be the worst movie ever made. They might as well call it Snakes on a Plane

Re: World Trade Center

you can turn on 1 of a few different channels on cable tv just about any time of the day and get a glimpse of 9/11 on.

no movie will do any "justice" if thats what you want to call it.

Re: World Trade Center

It's all about making money and this movie sure will... It would be great if all the proceeds from the movie will go towards some good cause or a 9-11 related organization, but I am sure they will only donate a small percentage, after all as Kinkyj said, it's all about milking the cash cow!!

Re: World Trade Center

I bet nobody would complain if Oliver Stone made a movie about any war that's going on right now in the world far from your TV-set that's killing even more people than 9-11 did, right?

Re: World Trade Center

I would, if it were made in bad taste. we already saw this movie live 5 years ago. we don't need to see a remake of an original that is still fresh in our minds.
