the original was scary. i'd suggest seeing that one first. the way it was intended. to scare you without special effects and 60 pounds of makeup.

Saw this one at the theater last night....... not a worthy watch in the theater for sure .... other than a few jumpy moments, I thought this one had virtually nothing interesting to offer. Moreover they've changed how the mom and the photographer die too..... the ambulance shot and the glass sliding off the back of the truck in the original were just too gruesomely awesome.
Though it did have a few good things going for it. Continuity and flow were great. Editing was awesome....... at no point in the movie do you think it's getting boring (unless of course you know the storyline from the original)..... if you haven't seen the original, this one COULD be a half decent movie..... Acting-wise I thought Gregory Peck was too hard to beat...... casting was crap..... the only person who fit the role extremely well was the nanny.
Having seen the original, I'd give it a [B]5 / 10,[/B] though for someone who hasn't seen the original, it could be a 6 / 10.
