Re: James Bond: Casino Royal.

Ugh the new Bond doesn't seem to really cut it TBH. But yeah I guess it can't be as bad as the last one...

Re: James Bond: Casino Royal.

It will be better than the first Casino Royale. That has to be one of the worst movies ever made.

The new fella playing Bond does look like garbage though.... think I'll wait till this is on AMC in a few years. ;)

Re: James Bond: Casino Royal.

Daniel Craig kicked ass in Layer Cake. I think he is much better for the role than Brosnan who was a total wimp.

Re: James Bond: Casino Royal.

i think daniel craig will be better than timothy dalton and pierce brosnan combined. anyone see Road To Perdition ? he was cool as whip cream in that movie. also great in layer cake. he's the best man in the business right now besides maybe Clive Owen.

daniel craig is a great actor.

rent layer cake.

Re: James Bond: Casino Royal.

IIRC, Clive Owen was offered the role and turned it down, which is a smart move, IMO. Bond is a type-cast dead end and CO is far too talented to limit himself.

Re: James Bond: Casino Royal.

Re: James Bond: Casino Royal.

^^ nice..i would give it a chance, i bet it is decent. the last 2 bonds sucked imo, the only brosnan one i liked was goldeneye, so hopefully this one should def be better.

Re: James Bond: Casino Royal.
Casino Royale (Columbia, 11.17) screened in London last night (Saturday, 11.4) and the Telegraph has run some reactions. "It's terrific," said one critic. "This is going to be the prequel to all other Bonds. There are a lot of fans who prefer either Moore or Connery but Daniel Craig "The flm begins in black-and-white, but then goes to color. There is could be better. This is the story of how Bond got started, before he became 007. Craig is such a good actor...he plays Bond as strong but emotionally vulnerable. For the first time you see his sensitive side."no sexual innuendo in this film; Craig's Bond is more sophisticated than that. And the filmmakers have been sure to show the consequences of violence -- he bleeds. Craig depicts a character who is tough and gritty and while the plot of good versus evil is the same, there is no Miss Moneypenny. If Bond has been a role-model for playboys across the generations, Craig's 007 is not only interested in seduction. He falls deeply in love with his Vesper Lynd (Eva Green)."
sounds good..

Re: James Bond: Casino Royal.

yeah i think craig will do it justice.

brosnan was the biggest fag and every movie he did was just a big advertisement for watches, cars ect. die another day was one of the worst movies i have ever seen. like that bit with that slag madonna? what is she doing in a bond movie omfg. anythings got to be better than the last few.

Re: James Bond: Casino Royal.

Casino royal was very very good. Totally un-bond like in many ways but thats what i liked about it... No more over the top stunts and expensive gadgets. Daniel Craig is an awesome actor and totally believable as far as playing the leading role. Cant wait for the next one.

#756503Post 31 of 51

Re: James Bond: Casino Royal.

very good. the skills of the bomb maker when running through the construction site at the beginning are unbelivable. film had a bit of everything, craig is a great bond and i liked how it explained why bond as a character used women

#756512Post 32 of 51

Re: James Bond: Casino Royal.

Because if you think about it there a 'disposable pleasure' :)

#758677Post 38 of 51

if i ever see an invisible car again in a bond movie my head will explode with anger.

Re: James Bond: Casino Royal.

the best 007 movie ever from a cinematographic point of view...although not a classic 007 like the one we grew up loving to watch!!! :)
