This film is nothing short of brilliant. Few science fiction films do as good a job as setting the mood as this one does. This film is legendary, and one of my favorite films of all time. Everything about it is just on another level.

Re: Alien

Still has nothing on ALIENS. But i do admit it was way before it's time. Aliens , to me is a perfect movie. I t has all of the essential ingredients, with a unexpected killer ending.

cant really compare the two imo. Aliens was more of a action film, james cameron did a brilliant job with it. Alien was more of a horror film.

Re: Alien

I agree, Mr. Scott did a fantastic job with the movie.

Speaking of Aliens, I saw the weirdest thing ever a couple of nights back. The company that Ripley works for is called "Weyland Yutani - Building Better Worlds". The other night I watched a documentary on the Discovery Channel about the largest bridge they are going to build (9 miles long) and they wanted to see what would happen if a Large Tanker would crash into one of the beams. So they had this computer animated movie showing this massive Tanker crashing into the support pillars of the bridge and the name of this ship was Weyland Yutani. Just felt was so damn odd.

Thought I'd share a useless piece of information.

Re: Alien

That movie scared the shit out of me when I was young. Especially when the Alien pops out of his chest. I'm glad I'm a guy and can't get pregnant. I don't think I could have any living thing inside of me after seeing that movie!
