Saw it, wasn't dissappointed. Wonder if they will make a trilogy out of it, there is a lot of story left.

Anyone else have a take on this movie?

Re: Underworld Evolution.

the first one was extremely average run of the mill stuff. this looked like more of the same. will probably watch the dvd, but no way am i making the effort to get to the theater for it.

I felt somewhat similar, but it seemed way too overdirected for my tastes, with way too much emphasis on the visuals over any kind of coherent plot or character development. I mean it looks great, and the opening sequence on the subway was amazing, but the lazy plotting and tired characters that made up the rest of the film took so much away from things. Why must all vampires be living in victorian era mansions with pouffy, frilly costume designs and yet still have some of the most sophisticated weapondry and computer technology available to man. You'd think that if they really wanted to blend in, they might make a bit more of an effort to look a little more modern.

That and scott speedman's transformation looked way too much like an Orc from the LOTR trilogy. It was like they stole a costume from the set.

Re: Underworld Evolution.

i hated the first one.

i saw the sequel last night, and i liked it!

The story had more depth, and they didn't over kill the "armed to the teeth vampire" bit like the first movie did.

Plus there were vampire tits :)

Saw it last night and liked it. I even liked it better than the first one.
Hopefully, we'll get a third that's even better.
