what movie had best (dance?) soundtrack?

i mean, there are many really nice movies with great soundtracks, which are also pretty much dance music sometimes. like soundtrack for matrix movie was quite a surprise at its time. also when it all started for me back in 96 i think i've got that hackers movie where a. jolie was just a shocker, and it also had a nice soundtrack, and let's not forget legendary mortal combat. unforgettable tracks in that one. swordfish would be one of the newest i would also name here. what else do you think could go in this list?

i didn't even know that 'stark raving mad' was a movie also, is it worth seeing? i've had the album couple of years ago. wasn't that good.

what about pete tong's brand new movie? did anyone see it? is there a good soundtrack, or maybe it's just same music parts as it was in 'history of house' documentary?

i've also remembered 'twean peaks', with it's mellow dream kind of house soundtrack.

Re: what movie had best (dance?) soundtrack?

I'd say It's All Gone Pete Tong, Human Traffic, Unleashed/Danny The Dog soundtrack (done by Massive Attack), Nowhere (a Greg Akari film - mix of indie 95 songs and some electronic), Stark Raving Mad and Shopping (a mid 90's film with a very young Jude Law - directed by Paul W. Anderson - the guy behind Aliens vs. Predator, Event Horizon and other peices of crap). The Goldeneye soundtrack has some great music, and it's partially done by one half of the guys behind The Propellerheads.

All of those soundtracks are quite strong. The Pete Tong soundtrack is quite hands in the air

Re: what movie had best (dance?) soundtrack?

The 2nd half of the Ransom soundtrack is really good as well. All the tracks from 9-14 were produced by Billy Corgan. Some great trippy heavy beats.

Re: what movie had best (dance?) soundtrack?

I really doubt I could listen to it now, but Cool World was pretty good for its time.

Re: what movie had best (dance?) soundtrack?
I used to have the soundtrack from that movie 'Groove'...
Groove has a very nice soundtrack, unfortunately, the OST on cd has not all the best tracks (the virtua trancer is missing) and it's a continuous mix. But it's a nice one anyway :D
A note for Digweed's addicts, he played in the movie and the dvd also has a video of Bedrock's best hit: Heaven Scent.

I'd like to add all soundtracks to this thread vs. just dance soundtracks.
