The guy who directed this was the same guy who directed My Left Foot. I was more than a bit shocked that he was involved in this.

downloading? :lol::lol::lol:, i saw it in the theatre earlier this afternoon, this girl in my anthropology class works at the ticket booth there and let me and my friends in for free, she must have known it sucked and didnt want to do me the disservice of charging us, nothing else was happening at the time so i decided to check it out. and a las it sucked. but thats no suprise. and yea its about the life of 50 cent.

It got "2 thumbs up" from Roper and Ebert, which I couldn't believe. Then again RE love anything with black people and Roper probably loves 50. To me it seems like typical hollywood trite, and I certainly won't spend the time or money on it.
BTW, let's not give 8 Mile credit as some sort of original, it's Rocky with a microphone

Not really. It's similar in the aspect that it's an airbrushed account of 50 Cent's life (meaning some of the nastier, less attractive stuff in his life is glossed over or taken out completely). Think of it as a special ed Hustle and Flow (which is way better than this - and Terrance Howard is in both of the films).

some dude got shot during this movie at the theatre I normally go to..... and they pulled the movie. its a shame because I couldn't wait to see it. I got the posters, the soundtrack, the tshirt, the valentines, and the ringtone and won't get to see it on the big screen.
