this just finished playing on AMC... it's a story about a fired cop that gets brought back on the force to investigate a drug-related officer murder that happened a year ago. I suck at writing reviews, but this is some intense shit that I recommend you all rent and watch. I'ma definitely be renting/buying this bitch and watching the uncensored version a second time. If anything else, watch it just so you can watch a cop beat the shit out of Busta Rhymes
Gritty, hard-edged police thriller from writer-director Joe Carnahan. Having been held responsible for for a deadly bust that went awry, dedicated veteran narcotics officer (as well as family man) Patric is reinstated by Internal Affairs under the condition that he aid hot-headed renegade lieutenant Liotta in the investigation of a slain officer whose story doesn't seem to add up. A gripping, in-depth, and atmospheric look at the notorious drug underworld and realm of police corruption. A solid genre film with a sturdy, poised performance from Patric, and an aggressive, forceful performance from Liotta. Plot gets overly convoluted at times but it's still entertaining. ***
I can't believe I've never heard of this movie... ilikeitalot

Re: Narc

saw this a few months ago. i liked it. but it lacked something. ray liotta is intense and everything, but if he isn't doing huge cocaine rails, well... it just lacks something. i think "Busta" deserved an Oscar for his role though.

Re: Narc

i thought i've seen Narc in theaters like 2 years ago... and then dvd, i watched it several times. the movie is awesome. it is filmed very well too, giving you more tragedy than you can even see in there. all those broken angles, moving camera, some effects of hand-made-video. i really loved the style, really nice. and i would really recommend to all to get a dvd or something and watch it. and seriously the main character (don't remember his name actually), his stoned role was played best, and rhyemes just did what he'd always done = wining.
